I have high hopes for this one.

I voted for Assassin's Creed II. I can't remember when a game grabbed me like that, and how I simultaneously anticipated and dreaded finishing the game.

@Andrew Testerman: I think that cover and regenerating health are probably the main paradigm shift in shooty-type games.

Really, I think that the optimal cover is the European graphic combined with the American character set. I prefer the "cleaner" font myself.
