Yeah, no again. I admit I forgot about that recent major but my stance isn't going to change: Hakkan is still a bad character. So what if Infiltration is winning with him now? He's winning as other top players don't have the experience in the match up. Its just a one time gimmick thing and I doubt Infiltration will be

Yeah no. Hakkan is incredibly terrible and no one plays him in any major tournaments. Though with the 3ds touch screen he will probably be better, but only slightly

Indeed. I remember back in the day that one amazing issue of X-men where they were kindapped to Genosha and this evil villain was turning mutants into slaves. I forgot his name but he was originally a good guy before he turned evil, sold his soul to the devil, had his head cut off and so got a huge cybernetic scorpion

The fight against Seath the Scaless sort of like one of those fights, in that initially you cannot do damage to him. After you look around a bit you noticed a crystal behind him that needs shattering

as I said, for once the fans actually voted with their wallets

I think it was really a combination of two different fandoms, the metal gear fans and the fans of platinum studios. I've read tons of threads of people saying 'I've never played a metal gear game before but I'm getting this game because its from platinum!'

Metric systems are generally useless and I take them with a grain of salt. People always resort to calling the haters people who cannot forgive the hair color change, when that was only a small part of it. A large majority of fans disliked DmC for them lowering the difficulty and simplifying the mechanics; you may

Good is subjective. While more power to you for thinking it was a good game, the majority felt it was a dumbed down unremarkable game.

Going by the numbers the fans really did vote with their wallets. I think they're currently at 750,000 world wide while metal gear rising was at 350,000 on their first day in just japan

I thought this article was going to try and connect kotaku players with one another. Well anyone want to play a game? I'm fairly decent at fighting games, and have been playing dota2/lol on and off

I'd rather a game have added depth with these barriers. The game should just make sure to do a good job of explaining all the mechanics. Blazblue for example has a very indepth game tutorial which will explain how to cancel some moves into others

a decent fighting game has a system where you can move cancel but not to a ridiculous extent. SF4 did a decent job with this in that you can cancel any move into another, but to do that you have to spend two bars of meter which can be used for a super. It's a good system as the player has to decide to either save his

Sorry but I disagree. The reason the move has what you think is a slightly difficult command is because a move that is too easy to do can break the balance of a character. Guile for example is a decent top level character, where you have to charge his sonic boom by holding back 2 seconds and then forward and a button.

Sorry but a game's price does not dictate its worth to everyone. I'm sure there are people who feel like you but I'm sure the majority would enjoy a game even if it was free/pirated

the ps3 isn't hacked as much due to the size of the games (its a hassle to download 25-50 gigs which are are some of the sizes) and as far as I know no one has been able to mod a ps3 that can go online without being banned from psn.

there was a recent reddit post by someone who was working in the comic industry that talked about why there weren't more female main characters in comics. For the longest time Marvel/DC just said the market isn't big enough to produce comics aimed at women and so they never bothered... then along comes japanes manga

good times playing MGS 2 and suddenly finding those hidden model videos

except this is capcom who never listen to what their fans want. I'm not a huge megaman fan myself, but I can understand their anger as not only did Capcom shaft the series, they even outright lied: during the pools of what new character should be added, the largest vote by far was for megaman. They completely ignored

I disagree with your analogy as items in Smash is the default way it was meant to play. Items are supposed to be in there, and as we know items make things random which is why the fighting game community doesn't take it seriously. Its not just for smash though, as a lot of people hated SFxT as it also had that certain
