Trust me I'm a metal gear veteran, I know how metal gear games are in that you finish them the first time slowly learning everything and then on your second play through you just blitz in 4 hours.... but even with that experience I still felt the game was too short

pretty sure the game tells you a number of things that are messages on the far left corner. But apparently if the game doesn't PAUSE ITSELF and then tell you the info in BIG BLINKING COLORS then the average gamer of today doesn't register it

They actually explain it in codec conversations. The white blood from MGS4 was old tech that required the user to be on constant dialysis; now cyborg tech no longer requires it and can use actual blood with less nano machines in it.

I finished the game yesterday and have this to say:

Couldn't agree more. People just kept complaining about parry but for me I had no trouble, especially when the enemies usually telegraph the attack with yellow.

You're going to have to learn how to parry, as the majority of battles later on have bosses with attacks so fast that you HAVE to parry them.

One of the reasons no one in America will ever take DoA seriously as a competitive game. Sure there are a few local tournaments here and there but the majority of scenes really look down on the game from what I've seen

the response here on Kotaku is actually mild compared to all the hate on Shoryuken.com, with the majority of posts being 'good riddance'

seriously. I get really annoyed by these type of people who post this shit. When I want to relax on the couch I play my consoles, and when I want to play games with high end graphics I do it on my gaming pc.

I was really afraid to click that link. glad it wasn't actually dragon porn

IT'S SO COOL!! SONUVABITCH

First pic is of him kneeling... Gilgamesh would never kneel to anyone you mongrels!! get it right!

As a Dark Souls player I agree. Back when both games were released both communities were constantly at each others throats, telling one another that their game was shit. I decided I didn't want to be a fanboy and played through it half way... but it just wasn't for me (and this is from someone who has finished Fall

I never got into skyrim for reasons that people have already posted (I felt the story/quests were too bland) but I decided to try and give it another shot, but now this time on the PC. Its mostly the modding community which has sparked my interest, so I was hoping for any info if anyone knows what the best mods are.

to the other posters, look at the monkey king image and focus no the heavenly girl to the right... notice how akward her spine is... the one you can see her crotch

Well of course I don't speak for everyone, but generally people are tired of KyoAni as after their success with K-on... everything they make now looks like K-on. maybe their are subtle differences but I'm tired of their animation which looks like copy paste with differen't hair styles (you could probably argue the

KyoAni

That's what I was getting at, as it the original core was more difficult and then they added the casual mode, so it won't affect me since I'll be playing on normal.

not necessarily, as I've heard some valid arguments about how intentionally adding an easy mode can effect game design. One point that made sense is designers usually program the game's core structure first as a casual game, and then to add the difficulty they only increase the parameters of the enemies health and

I went back to playing Devil may cry 3 just to make sure I didn't have nostolgia goggles on... and I didn't. Devil may cry 3 has better action, more rewarding gameplay, and even a better script in terms of witty lines and dialogue.
