Yes but they fought him while he was evil. To reiterate my comment, they likely aren't going to allow it outside context of the good guy being temporarily evil in one way or another. That includes the context-free nature of a multiplayer fighting game.

Bingo. If there are explicit story beats saying good guy X is being tricked or mind controlled or it’s like a friendly no-stakes battle? They’ll allow it. But they aren't going to let good guys beat up other good guys without that context. So pretty much any pure Disney character in a multiplayer fighting game like

Beyond just licensing costs/issues, I would be willing to bet Disney was the primary issue here, not SE or Nintendo. Yeah they probably could have gotten Donald and Goofy for an exorbitant fee but there likely would have been a lot of extra rules about how they can be displayed and used.

While BotW is a “massive, sprawling game”, huge swaths of the map are empty or if they contain content, they reuse the same small number of models.

It’s definitely a thing with older adults, boomers and whatnot

It still seems to rely on them having them in stock. I checked 5-6 different sites and they all wouldn’t let you continue past the “select your console” part due to no stock.

Breaking news: Larger scope of project means it is harder to complete!

You might want to consider changing your username, as an FYI

The true winning move is to make the adaptation if you want to, how you want to, and if people don’t like it they are free to whine about it online.

I hope as you discover more about the world you learn that Kirby himself is the apocalyptic event that caused the disappearance of nearly all life.

Sure, just make all these people download the game twice to do something that should take 20 seconds to do total.

Hold up, if someone finds a way to cheat at heart surgery successfully and can fix hearts with no effort then that's just plain groovy

I don't see why it needs to be a new comic every week. If they release something every 1-3 weeks then just post old good comics from them on weeks with nothing new.

That seems unlikely. Knowing Kotaku and GMG in general, it would have been specifically referenced in the post. They don't really mince words on that shit.

Not caring about progression in a MOBA and wanting to play more than a single hour per day, 3 days per week of a game they like is an addiction to you? That seems like an awfully restrictive way to look at it

Yep. If the opposite were the case I would think the company was shitty and the people putting pressure on him were shitty, but only for having the abhorrent opinions.

Because of his hand drawn guides for games that are 30 years old?

This take isn't hot enough to melt a Hershey bar lol. Saint's Row has always had humor that was skewed towards 13 year olds and even then they didn't really hit that mark either. At least imo.

Fucking just... What?

Soo... What ARE the limitations you refer to repeatedly?
