Counterpoint: Almost nobody, including the publishers/developers, gives a shit about that. They DO however, care about it being on shelves before Christmas.

This is me 100%. This information takes this game from “Looks like a fake game made for an episode of a TV show for kids” to something akin to Doki Doki Literature Club.

Ah yes, Red River 2. A classic if there ever was one.

Hell that can handle the multiple possible genders of the character as well. Maybe you aren’t in the memory of the actual character at all, you are in the memory of a kid named after them and who grew up hearing stories and legends of their namesake.

I mean... I just don’t care. It’s fine, both of them are fine. I’ll put them wherever is convenient and then literally nobody will ever ask about them or comment on them ever.

Screw that noise. For $120 that game better do my taxes and change my oil and be fun as hell.

Does the fact that the first comic has no name above it and the last name doesn't have a comic below it not tip you off that it might not be that way?

Yeah but he doesn't have to make it Silent Hill, he can make it his own IP. That's exactly what Iga did with Bloodstained, the game is Castlevania in everything except the name.

I’m really surprised a PT-esque horror game wasn't Kojima's first game after going out on his own. As long as it didn't resemble PT too closely I don't think there is any legal reason he couldn't do it.

White guy in the grays checking in to say thank God they all made it back. We need them now more than ever.

That’s kinda where I am 4 chapters into Yakuza 0. Lots of long cutscenes, some of which can’t be skipped, only sped up a bit. That isn’t a problem now because I want to take in the story but it definitely kills my desire to replay later.

I only use Twitch to watch a couple of buddies stream Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction speedruns, and then for large charity events like GDQ.

I’m not disputing your experiences but I’m a little unclear how it relates to my comment. I meant “Hell yeah more black representation” and that we should keep the train going by saying “more Hispanic representation”, “more woman representation”, etc.

Agreed. I have no desire to be a streamer but I’ve occasionally thought about it and decided if I ever made it big I would do something similar. Either caps on donations or make it abundantly clear that any amount after X dollars per month is going to be donated to charity or to small streamers.

Hell yeah. I may be white but this doesn’t mean I get represented less, it means other people can get represented more. Bring all people, Black, Hispanic, Women, LGBTQ+, everyone. The game industry has plenty of room for growth.

I’ve never played a Yakuza game before but picked up a bundle of 0/1/2 and I’m enjoying them so far. 0 started off slow but I just finished chapter 4 or 5 and it’s starting to pick up steam.

I’m incredibly disappointed this is not about a Call of Duty / Tom Hanks crossover.

And how long will FIFA allow EA to not sell copies of their games in parts of Fifa's biggest market, Europe? Some short research shows that Europe makes up like 80% of FIFA game sales, so if EU courts start making harsh judgements and forcing EA to either remove lootboxes or not sell in the region they won't hold that

Fuck the whole process is scary, and only gets scarier the further we get down this path of irreversible climate change. I want a kid but I’ve chosen not to have one because of the current state of the world. I still have some time left but unless the world does a pretty hard 180 in the next 4 years I’m moving on from

That’s been kind of my impression as well. It seems more like some kind of futuristic Far Cry game than a solid cyberpunk RPG.
