Think of it this way for your Scenario A. If they are being honest saying the game will be done at that time, if Cyberpunk is delayed again they will announce that mid to late November, plenty of time for this Dev to say "Well in that case, fuck it we're launching in December after all!"

It’s also in the post itself, although I cannot verify if it was added later without an edit note. Also I totally wouldn't blame you for missing it, it's basically a "paragraph" of one sentence nestled between ads. Just an FYI.

Eh, it kind of loses the humor when they misrepresent what the suit is about and then list a bunch of unrelated products google has that have plenty of competition

I’ve done 6 day work weeks with unpaid OT for a few months before. It sucked but it wasn’t exactly “soul crushing” or anything.

I couldn’t even get past the first planet, myself. I met all the characters and heard their problems and motivations and was just like “I don’t give a shit about any of this.” I could understand that it was supposed to be compelling but I didn't identify with or care about any of it.

Oh yeah. I wasn’t a fan of it there, as it was really out of place to have a fantasy world with real world products. The reference to FF was more to the point that in a modern world we (millenials/zoomers) are more desensitized to ads and they aren’t nearly as effective as brand owners want.

Could be worse. Could be baseball. 3+ Hours and 0 minutes of action. Oh btw, it's the World Series so you're looking at up to 7 games of nothing fucking happening.

“There’s still sponsor placement, but I can _live with_ sponsor placement; it’s so integral to actual sports broadcasts that it doesn’t feel out of place.”

Eh that doesn’t really mean it is good or popular. It just got picked up as a “flavor of the month” game by a couple big YTers and rode the momentum of the algorithm.

I thought it was the fact I just woke up and hadn't put on my glasses yet but I guess not lol

Until we find out there is some secret cutscene where if you wear the suit at the inevitable part of the story that Spider-Man gets a beatdown from the villain and loses all hope the villain also kills the cat, causing it to vanish from the suit permanently. Because God isn't real and 2020 is evil.

You just described a TON of Smash Fighters. Cloud, Pac Man, Snake (although he is returning from an old Smash game so I'll let that slide), Ryu/Ken, Joker, etc.

Yeah my fiance has been big into watching some people play it but really it seems to be the same thing over and over again. Needs more ghosts, more ways of interacting with them, and personally the fact that you only get information and then bail really makes it feel like half a game.

Have you never met a serious collector? People will spend WAY more than that on statues or figures for the thing they like. If anything I think they would get 2, one to display mint in box and one to play with.

On the other hand, as someone who has not yet played this but is considering it, both that part of the post and your comment tell me exactly nothing. I have no idea who/what it is and what the significance is.

At least with Sony you have some chance of them doing it. If it was Nintendo not only would they not do it, they’d probably find a way to detect the hack and ban the accounts of those who use it.

I can kind of go either way but I lean more towards JRPG than Western. I’m not tied to either group really but I’ve really disliked tons of modern RPGs. I haven’t enjoyed a Bioware RPG since KOTOR 2 and Jade Empire, I’ve tried Dragon Age and Mass Effect and I just couldn’t get into either series, the worlds and

Shit, most PS1/PS2 games could just be emulated on a PS5. It definitely has the power to do so, and Sony has all the original information on how those two systems work so any issues that exist on unofficial emulators (Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction was largely unplayable on PCSX2 until about January 2020)

I have no interest in playing the game but I would LOVE to see a lot of the data that could be learned from it. Which starting positions are more likely to win at different games, heat maps of player movement, that sort of thing.

I would have to agree. The number one thing I hear when watching others play is “Ugh this level sucks”.
