You definitely aren’t wrong, but the key part of my statement is “largely dependent“. I have no problem with some amount of randomness, as that keeps the game from being predictable and is sometimes essential to making a good game mechanic. But what I was attempting to drive at (and maybe I didn’t phrase it correctly)

If anything I’d say it points to how BS the mechanics surrounding Shiny Pokemon are. It has zero value other than being able to say “I got lucky at with a random number generator”. It doesn’t indicate someone is good at the game, just that they got lucky.

I believe they are saying that while this game is good, it derives a lot of that good-ness by imitating systems from other games, and there is a risk that since they have made a good game with this formula that will make them money, they will now repeat it until they run it into the ground and make it not fun anymore.

If sneakerheads had any degree of common sense, they wouldn't be sneakerheads to begin with.

Yep. Especially nowadays when you can get a stick smaller than your hand that plugs into an HDMI port and does all the same “smart” stuff, plus can be moved to any other TV and brought with you as needed, for like 30 bucks.

I dunno, I think it is fair criticism. The article as framed by the title boils down to one sentence:

Yeah that thing looks ugly as sin to me lol. Like bad Pokémon fan art.

Keep in mind Game Freak often releases a 3rd version a month later that contains all content from the first two games of that generation. Not sure how they would do it with the separate gyms but it might happen.

Fucking preach. There is a feral cat colony on my front lawn that is approaching 30 cats because my moron neighbors across the street keeps feeding them and meddles if I try and trap them.

Not to mention checking if it applies to any other games using the same engine, such as this case where the original trick was found in OoT.

Yeah but when you think about it, most relationships don’t work out anyways. Half of all marriages end in divorce and most relationships never get to marriage so maybe only like 1 in 10 relationships work out (probably less).

If anything they should be doing the exact opposite. Free stuff now to entice people into trying it so they get more feedback, then add paid stuff later.

Because you haven't said how it trivializes it. Everything you said makes me feel for Isaac and the abuse he is suffering. It certainly doesn't make abuse seem normal or trivial.

Yeah right? It tells the story of a child suffering from and overcoming abuse (albeit in an exaggerated fantasy sense), how does that normalize it?

I agree because I tried looking for something like that a bit after the release but wasn’t really able to find anything. But with a key emphasis on “reading”. I'm not watching a 30 minute video for something I can read in 10.

Possibly, but that is the same person who got temporarily banned for one offense and then decided to ban evade and got permanently banned. Then appeared on a different stream despite that is ALSO against Twitch’s rules.

That was my thought, although there is a chance this streamer may not have known about the 3 day the other person got until after the fact.

Original Movie Sonic was created so we could have a version of "a donkey is a horse designed by a committee" for modern times.

Tik Tok supposedly has a gigantic backing from the Chinese government, which supposedly doesn’t care about turning a profit because their sole goal is to harvest user data.

Well considering the other most notable thing from IT is a child orgy, maybe it is for the best.
