I think even 500 would be enough to deter most people, and if you have a game that is unfinished but has enough to let people see it has promise you could very likely get 500 from friends and family to get it onto Steam.

I don’t think so, at least it depends on the type of game. Competitive shooters? Probably. But I watch a ton of speedruns of games I have never played.

I’m curious as to why they can’t release a retro console that contains the equivalent of PS1/2 hardware that can play old titles, it might cost a bit more especially considering the manufacturing costs but if it looked good and played right they could likely sell it for enough to recoup costs and make a little bit…

I would say at least 500 dollars. If your game is ready enough to go on Greenlight it should be ready enough to build a basic demo or showcase and raise 500 dollars, either amongst people you know or on a simple crowd funding site.

I think it might just be a bit of situational bias on your part, since I’m kind of in the same boat. Grew up in small midwest town, moved to Sacramento area after college. The sheer volume of people you have in a city over a small town means you’re basically guaranteed to see more crazy shit.

Hell yeah the handheld Mario Tennis games were way better than their console counterparts. I wish Nintendo did that with all their Mario sports titles.

Have to agree. I don’t even notice the drop in graphics because I am too busy having fun with friends. The industry as a whole might be better if we stop focusing on making graphics a dick measuring contest and start caring more about art style and making games more fun to play.

I was actually curious, isn’t basically every skin representative of the character’s culture or profession prior to whatever makes them fight (no idea of the lore behind this game)?

If that is the case I misunderstood since nothing in the article except one quote really references anything other than mapping software.

I never really got invested in this game but I followed it on here and this is the one case where I kind of feel for the “cheaters”.
