I’ll be the first to admit I was wrong when I said using Battlenet might lead to a loss compared to using Steam in previous articles. It was probably at least partially thinking that Destiny is not a good game from having played it and being bored but it was definitely because I also underestimated Blizzard’s internal

I can totally stand behind them removing him from their internal program. Their program, their rules. But they wouldn’t stand a chance making the copyright claim stick since he didn’t break any rules there from what I can see. He should have just kept the video up since he isn’t getting back in the program anyways.

It might or it might not. From some searching Steam had 125 million unique users as of 2015 (from a Kotaku article) where Battlenet had 42 million unique users as of November 2016 according to a financial report.

Sure but then minus all the sales of people who don’t want a secondary launcher to run a single game when all their other titles are on Steam. I have plenty of games on Origin, Battlenet, and uPlay but I never play them because I don’t feel like installing another client to have to log in to another service and have

Looking at Steamspy and global sales for recent CoD titles, they only account for like 5% of total sales, peaking at like 1.5 million with Black Ops 3. They aren’t making a Steam competitor any time soon with one MMO, a yearly shooter that sells better on every other platform it releases on, and Blizzard games that

Considering the Blizzard PC titles are the pretty much the only PC titles from Activision/Blizzard that anyone on PC gives a shit about, lolgoodluck. The only difference is it would then have Blizzard titles, Destiny 2, and stuff nobody really plays on PC.

True but more often than not the really expensive stuff is gaudy and awful looking because when keeping the price competitive is a goal using restraint becomes necessary and it usually looks better for it.

Or very good, provided they used the time properly.

If the custom character is in story mode and you play as him it is basically a guarantee. That is like a law of video games: If a custom character is playable for the story, they will be the chosen one/hero/central plot focus, regardless of franchise.

And from what I read this is feature complete, the matchmaking just needs work and the heroes aren’t interesting.

Yeah, a baked in part of the design that is broken, and they are finding out about the fact it is broken on the public multiplayer beta that is specifically to test if issues like this occur.

I sincerely doubt the developers are going to be oblivious to this fact unless this article was posted. Again a beta is for testing, and they are specifically looking at things like stability and matchmaking times. Which they have access to solid data on and don’t need anecdotal articles to get that info from.

Isn’t the entire point of a MP beta to find issues like this? This seems to amount to saying “incomplete game not complete”.

I just saw a similar project on imgur a few days ago that was basically this but more programmable. The problem is I think it was going up on KS and odds are with this thing coming out they might not secure funding.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only person who thinks everything at Eurovision is fucking awful.

The purpose of a competition is for all competitors to follow the same rules and regulations to ensure an even playing field, so their individual skill levels can determine the winner.

Exactly the issue I have with it. In Castlevania you see a bunch of unreachable areas and when you get a new ability you say “Oh neat I can go to X, Y, and Z now!”

Wait, aren’t you the same user who posts on every article about transgender or homosexual issues telling people to dismiss trolls and that freedom of speech doesn’t cover their shitty opinions on a private website?

Ok?

I mean I kind of get that line of thought (Gawker blogs loves creating controversy, even in this post Gawker world), but in this case they did manage to trick the league itself too didn’t they?
