Mazda CX-5 is cheaper. If you can live without AWD you can still get the Mazda with a stick. We've had both in the family and are currently rocking the Mazda. The Mazda also has a non-CVT transmission and I think has an engine that is paired better with the chassis. The outback is very nice but in my mind it is a

Are you looking at a new Mazda 3? I've fit rear facing seats in it no problem. The passenger even still has some legroom. You must have a giant cocoon for a seat if it doesn't fit in a new 3. Heck, even my old 3 fit a rear facing seat just fine.

As someone who actually saves whales for a living (no joke), I was laughing hysterically throughout this whole scene. Unfortunately the rest of the movie theater was dead quiet and my girlfriend at the time (now wife) was looking at me oddly.

I would also like to see an article on the USCG aging fleet and lack of resources. I've worked with them for many years and I've always been impressed with their professionalism and tenacity to get the job done no matter the obstacles.

As a fellow scientist who has owned a WRX, if you cannot see the change in WRX culture you really need to take your blinders off.

As a fellow scientist who used to own a WRX, if you cannot see how far the WRX has changed you need to take off your blinders.

Damnit, why is this car in California?!

As someone who saw this guy in the flesh at the Scottish games in NH last year, you cannot even imagine how big this dude is.

While trivial, if you go to the right conference you end up with these!

I'm equally frustrated at the FAA for this whole process, but asking if the government is going to reimburse you because you didn't think about your purchase. You spent $12k on equipment either before you researched the laws (not smart) or you willfully chose to ignore the law (also, not smart). I'm on your side,

What the heck is Bruce Willis doing aboard?!

You do realize there are also left exits in CT, right?

The point of asking an absurd question like that actually makes sense and is in trained. A normal person who isn't doing something crazy illegal will often chuckle or make a small joke at that question. A person doing something illegal often replies with a nervous serious answer.

Would LOVE to see this monstrosity fire up at night!

Would like to see some more photos of this one!

I actually know one of the pilots of that squadron (used to be two squadrons, budget cuts stink). I even asked him about JATO, he said they rarely use it (expensive again) and he's only used it a couple of times. Their typical runs are to Greenland and Antarctica.

God, I had a blue 1980 hatchback as my first car. Loved that thing!

Whomever produced this video understands our passion. Well done, very well done.

Without knowing the water depth, the mass of the iceberg, the reaction of the 'captain', the actual distance from the iceberg (depth perception on the water is VERY difficult), I don't think you can say she overreacted. Was it dramatic? Sure. Over-reacting? No, better safe than sorry. I can tell you if I was in

It absolutely is not an over-reaction. It is easy for you to state that it didn't turn out to be much since you are looking at it post-event. You want to make that call while it is happening and be wrong? Oh yeah, freezing water is dangerous, especially without appropriate gear. Period. I'm not talking out of my
