It is a surprisingly hopeful game in some endings, but it is crazy dark and not good for any of the characters.

I mean... I’m just saying that Darkness in that movie had something going for him; a certain animal magnetism. It is not unreasonable that she would also find him irresistible.
My favorite part of the commentary is the part where the original writer got a studio note saying “The princess can’t fuck The Devil!” A much better story was clearly lost.
Yes. Paid programming AKA Icelandic UltraBlue was a pilot that never got picked up, but Adult Swim liked the idea and later made more Infomercials (including Too Many Cooks). They list TMC and UltraBlue under their list of infomercials.

This would be an okay show if I had no familiarity with the source material. It is the same police procedural nonsense that makes up every second show, but the lead is charming.
