HMM, if it works out perhaps I can employ you to import one of these. Surely we can get a Falcon XB GT in Australia for less than the 100K or ore they go for in the US.

Yeah, the idea that since it’s all “electric” nothing will break is just silly. I look at the current generation of EV’s like the first generation of color TV’s - Amazing new technology that changes the world, but still in its infancy. Being a TV repairman in the 60's & 70's was a great moneymaker, but the job…
Reasonably compact dimensions, manual shift with low range, serious off-road capability. This reminds me a lot of the Suzuki Grand Vitara we had when we were posted in Haiti. It could go anywhere, even where the roads were basically rock piles.
I have a flight sim (Il2: 1946) that has a similar aircraft - the Heinkel Lerche, Germany’s version of a coleopter, which was never actually built (the game posits that WW2 went on after 1945 and includes various jets and prototypes). It was supremely difficult to fly, exacerbated by the fact that I’m a terrible…
Except that like most non-driven collector cars, anyone who buys this and wants to drive it will be replacing nearly every seal and gasket. There is a way to store a car and still keep it turn-key, but most people don't bother. Original owners did not deserve this car.
People need to be angry and you cant be angry at yourself and we arent in any wars right now so you get on the internet and bash people who aren’t suffering at the level you feel they should suffer at. Misery loves company.
If you happen to be driving from Twin Falls to Idaho Falls you can stop in at EBR-I for a short self guided tour. It’s a very unassuming little facility in the middle of the wilderness but if you’re interested in nuclear power its a fun stop. The reactor core is obviously long gone along with any other nuclear…
That doesn’t require military tech anymore. If you’re interested, do some reading on “small modular reactors”. But the time might have already come and gone for that in the US. At some point people let fear of nuclear war translate to fear of nuclear anything, and we’ve never let go of that.
Not sure about he smart, seemed stupid to me in that is got terrible fuel economy for it’s size, it was absurdly slow yet required premium oils and fuel. I would say the mid nineties Geo Metro was a smarter choice. Sits four or can haul far more groceries, base model was hovering around 50MPG the XFi variant pushing…
You do realize there’s just a bit of a weight difference between the two, right?
yeah, cause a 3400 lbs front wheel drive sedan surely has the same driving characteristics as a purpose built rally homologation special that weighs 400 lbs less.....
You think that a 4500lb Camry with 30 more horsepower will be faster than a 2800lb YarisGR?
Will be on Jay Leno’s Garage in about a week
So much wrong here. A shocking amount, really.
Every single car does this automatically. It’s how defroster settings work.
With barely broken in miles on the 7.3 and a body clean enough to do surgery on, this was a great deal at $16,000. Congrats to Carl on getting a truck that will last as long as he could possibly need it.
As an official old man, I agree with you.
I see these too but living in the NE means they are fighting a losing battle with rust. I see a unicorn once in a while but it’s usually a garaged old man truck. Basically this truck (but auto), a cap and the cheapest Pep Boys tires.
Despite that record of success, when was the last time you actually saw one on the road?
This is one of the most idiotic articles ever posted on Jalopnik.
