Have you had the chance to run it through deep (sugar) sand yet ? I do like the GX, but am worried that the deep stuff on our beaches will bog it down...

CP .. Rusty floor pans (and who knows what else) and the infamous Renix ignition..yikes
If ya took 30 seconds from your outrage and did some reading, you’d see that it appears the trucks will be donated to the services, not individual firefighters. NO TAX is paid by local/county/state agencies on purchases.
Thank you for this Tom! My neighbor of over 20 years recently passed and had several of those types of vans. He’d never say what they cost, just “a shit ton, son”. He passed away down in Florida, and no one was able to bring the van up, as with hand controls, one needs a special license. Truly something what disabled…
1969 Honda SL350 (dad’s first bike), 1971 Honda SL100 (my first bike), 1984 Honda XL500R (last enduro for me), 1980 Honda CBX 1000, 1984 Honda Goldwing Aspencade, 1972 Kawasaki H-2 750 Triple, Honda 750 Africa Twin.. OK, yeah, have a thing for older japanese bikes. That would be a good start for me. Would toss in…
I’m just here for the Tesla fan bois excuses....LOL
Yeahhhhh...no..
Is this thing going to make it through a tüv inspection??? That’s been my question since the adventure began...lol.. Or just road trip with a temp kennzeichen?
David David David.. Kauf das Stück Schieße bitte nicht! LOL. I was able to drive one in spring of 1990. East German family moved into the apartment below mine and happily handed over the keys for the day in exchange for some american cigarettes. Can't even begin to describe how awful it was to drive, even around town.…
2nd: As many have stated, it’s not luxury that’s the problem. Hell, anyone spend any decent time in a Tesla ?? The horrible fit and finish in the model 3 is unreal, the S, yeah ok, it’s a bit better but still.. The EV proponents need to realize that folks will buy what they WANT and can afford, not necessarily what’s…
Ha! My first car was a 1980 BMW 520. My Plt Sgt took me driving and had me drive on the A33. Didn’t pass much, ever, in that car.
By far my favorite David Tracy adventure! Probably because I spent some decent time at Ferris Barracks and I've had the (dis)pleasure of motoring along in many crap can diesels in my trips to Germany! Looking forward to more !
Thanks! I’ll have to take a closer look next time I see one on the beach.
Well said! I live on an island in NJ and we allow folks to take 4x4s on to one of the beaches. There are plenty of Renegades in the summer, they only run into trouble when the sugary beach sand gets deep near this time of year. Just not enough power, clearance or a proper 4x4 system. Full disclosure, I have no idea…
Oh boy! Probably an acab guy too. Please, by all means run some traffic stops and let me know how it goes after a couple years. Drunks, dope heads, drivers with warrants. Zip to do with skin color, it’s a terribly silly trope to trot out.
A realistic reply and yes, especially in europe.
Where’s my popcorn.,I’d pay to watch civilians do stops..
Today maybe, but I’ll take a virtually maintenance/repair free 2010 Fit Sport (which we have) over a BMW any day for a daily commuter. In nearly 100k we’ve paid for brakes, tires, oil changes, belts and one ignition coil. Gets 35+ on the highway and overall mpg of 30 =/-. Stack that up against a similarly aged BMW and…
In 10 years of owning a Fit Sport manual, I’m still waiting for the V-tech to kick in and I hear a Kyle hollering Yo!!!
Well, the NYPD isn’t allowed to charge anyone with anything these days, so what’s the issue ??? Burning down stores, cars, folks property gets no attention from their illustrious DA, why would something like this be any different ?
