Articles like these are why Kotaku never fails to entertain. Thanks, Patricia!

I understand, and even agree with, all of the complaints here, but at least the game is done before release, rather than following the EA approach and releasing it unfinished. So there's that, I suppose.

How does an idea so off-the-wall end up looking so generic? And where are the ladders?

I can honestly say that I didn't expect that. I thought it'd be weird, but not THAT weird.

Gotta respect their ambition.

Problem is, by the time they're done, it'll look dated. The engine is already graphically behind, and it's taking them so long to complete it. Regardless, their work is super impressive.

Looks awesome. I like how realized the city seems to feel, too; it’s cool to see a city with Pokemon just running rampant through the streets.

I love seeing the GTA V physics applied to such a retro course. I mean, obviously, it screws up some of the course mechanics, but it's still cool to see.

Seems like some of the combat mechanics are Dishonored-inspired. I dig it.

It’s like someone took my dream game straight out of my head and made it a reality. I love the gun customization!

Seeing as Dishonored is one of my favorite games, I couldn’t be more excited about this.

Hopefully, they'll stick with the hyper realistic visual style of the gameplay and avoid the ugly art style of their 2D cutscenes.

...And then the face animates, and it all falls to shit. Unless the LA Noire animation becomes the norm, I think we’re going to have some creepy ass characters.

Not gonna lie, Shining Force III was one of my all time favorites. You should really give that one a go, if you can.

Definitely when you can hear someone's entire family through their mike. Nothing like hearing whiny kids scream in the background during a firefight to add to the realism. Also seems like those people often have music going, too.

My only fear is that the characters shown are the characters you get. I always love character customization, so if it's "Here are these ___ number of characters that you can outfit differently. Yeah, they all have names, but your username is the one that appears above their heads, so don't worry!" then I'll be a

Quit horsing around you guys!

Hm, surprised it's this high. I think it gets much, much worse during the day.

Definitely loving this, really good work by the modeler! Almost seems like the subsurface scattering is a little overdone, though. Just look at The Incredibles; they have it, but it's subtle, and only really noticeable when animated. The expressions are amazing, though. Really great work!
