This really begs the question that no one is asking:

I don't see the point of making driving more expensive (via gas tax) because you percieve that people are making stupid choices. I am sure that everyone who buys a care considers their own wants and needs. Why add more taxes (especially on the lower end of the spectrum) during an economic downturn.

I am very against this bill. However, is it shocking to anyone that the limit of $1 billion is so much lower than many ear-marks that only benefit certain individuals and/or regions? This bill could benefit any consumer*, any dealership, and any manufacturer.
