“Can take” and “is rated for” are two different things though. One of them is fine for a guy working in his garage piecing together a car he’ll use every now and then. The other is for a manufacturer that needs absolute reliability for 100,000-150,000 miles.

But why wouldn’t the tranny from the 430 or the Gallardo Bamboni work? Does the tranny really need to be that modern? This thing has plenty of torque so just spread the gears really wide like Porsche does and let us shift even though we really don’t need to.
