LOL - it didn’t have much on an E36, let alone an E46...

“An M car does not make sense unless a beigemobile has shriveled your soul.”

This makes no sense.

When you don’t have any use for a back seat, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to make all the other compromises to have one.

Yeah, that’s tough. If I was you I’d be thinking about getting into something else with a little less volatility for a little while and then getting that C8. Something more than 3-ish years old that’s already taken the brunt of the new car depreciation hit. Maybe even something a little older like a C6 Z06 that is

The manuals will likely be gone because they’re the last of the breed, but the C7 autos... that’s a bad situation right there.

How about “watch your 2021 Vette allocations go out the window.”

People forget that not all Chevy dealers can sell Vettes. Just one more tool to help keep them in line.

I have friends calling dealers who have been told how many allocations they have left - and it’s a one here, none there kind of thing.

Can I help it if my kids want to play catch in MY front yard and this car got beaned with the baseball a couple times?

This right here is why God invented golf clubs.

Because to work for the Vette (and more specifically, both the Z06 and ZR1) it would need to handle significantly more torque than anyone else will ever require.

We didn’t even get into the needs of the Z06 and ZR1 versions, either. I’m not aware of a MR layout manual ever built that would handle that kind of torque.

Yes, this is the issue right here.

The real issue is that I’m aware of only one MR vehicle with a stick, the 718, and that tranny can’t even come close to handling the torque in the Vette.

Nope, just awful. That car will never be cool.

Now, let’s talk about how fast you were going just now.

A damp towel.

Also, if you have an alcantara wheel, cleaning it relatively frequently will prevent it from getting permanently matted with ... what was the word? “Built-up hand gunge”- GROSS!

By the way, you need to check your diff bolts, too. You put the jack under the diff, but it needed to go under the subframe. Those things are probably bent to hell, but they’ll come out a lot easier than if you break them off later.

Now playing

I think you are both reading far too much into his comments, and also missed the film-maker’s takedown of the impossibility of faking the landing.
