Kojima and company seem to have put an inordinate amount of thought into what originally seemed like a silly little gimmick.

Kojima is a known troll so this was just a perfect chance to not only fuck with one group of people, but scare the shit out of another group of people. All in all, I'd say this type of marketing/advertising is pretty successful.

Played it, tried a "sure fire" method to trigger ending, didn't really work. Still the entire demo was creepy as fuck and i know for a fact i missed some stuff just because i was too creeped out to stick around and really explore.

It's good to know Dr. Manhattan can still keep himself busy.
