I actually discovered jet sprint years ago on motors TV, but didn't think much of it before going to New Zealand. First time I saw one was while kayaking.
Did I mention that these things, the tourists one, often have 2 engines with power in excess of 800 hp? Also it’s not 20 cm they need, but rather 5, and can attain speeds of 85 kph.

It’s more about the rubber being too hard under a certain temperature. On the other hand, using winter tyres when temperatures go above 10/12°C is useless as the rubber gets too soft (you get closer to the glass transition temperature)
Oh yes. Peugeot really knocked it out of the park with the new 308. Haven’t had the chance to drive one yet, but I hear it’s fantastic (and that stearing wheel and gauges position <3). I have a 1st gen 308 at home, and it’s “meh” (it has 200k, but still), my 15 year old Xsara, 306-based, is much better to drive. Also…
