I got into the habit of watching movies and Hulu at work some time ago and coded myself a "Boss Key" AppleScript application that could be executed by a hotkey through Quicksilver that would pause whatever I was watching, set the system volume to 0 (just in case) and hide the offending window. Worked pretty well...

Yup...never a back story when you can proudly proclaim such a feat

I laughed for a good five minutes about this. Well done

Holy crap! I loved this movie when I was a kid! At the time, I had never laughed as hard as I did when Plucky is stuck in the hot car with Hampton and his sweaty pig family. To this day, few things have been as funny as that was to me then. MUST WATCH NOW!!!!!

No kidding. If this "The Game in GIFs" nonsense continues throughout the entire season, I'm not really going to be able to do anything about it but complain in the comments.

"Place a large bag or multiple items in the empty seat to make it time-consuming to move.

Zing!

Am I the only one who uses both displays when connected to an external monitor??? Despite what Giz has posted in the past, I'm pretty sure that for me at least, more screen real estate = getting more done. It's just bizarre to me that someone wouldn't want to utilize both displays...

How did people who don't use headphones and feel to need to use their speakers to broadcast their crappy music to anyone within 40 feet of them not make the list? I'm sure you do think "Yeah" by Usher is a great song. Doesn't mean I want to hear you blaring it on the train when I'm going to work in the morning...

Is anybody terribly surprised by this? The politicians have a desire to get their message out to whoever will listen. These days, that means online media. If you ask me, it's fairly innovative. Am I annoyed by hearing political ads (or any ads for that matter) on Pandora? Sure, but I also see the need for them. It's

Isn't this how Tyler Durden tells us to make napalm in Fight Club? I think it was equal parts gasoline and orange juice concentrate, but still...this doesn't seem far off.

"straight pushed some guy's shit in"

Related to Out of Milk is Grocery Smart, that I've been playing around with lately. It lets you login online to create your list which is pretty slick (I think Out of Milk let you do this, too. I'm not sure). The thing that really sold it for me, though, is that I my wife and I can sync lists between the two of us, so

Well, if you're going to assign logic to these rejects from Penthouse Forum, I do believe we're going to have a problem here...

This actually happend in Oregon a couple of years ago. Cop's 3-year-old son bumped around his gun safe (that was issued by the county), got it unlocked and shot himself. He's currently suing the department for giving him a faulty safe.

I do regret writing this, but 15+ post about Mountain Lion in a single day is a little excessive...

I do feel bad about saying that (especially since I'm all but guaranteeing myself a visit from the banhammer), but it's been that kind of a day and between the two sites, I've seen at least 20 posts in my Google Reader about Mountain Lion. I'll get it when I get it, but for now, I really don't need to hear about it

Sure, they're made mostly of plastic, but have you ever even picked up a pair of Beats??? I feel like I'm going to snap them in half trying to get them over my giant head. These things are plastic, but they're way more heavy duty than any pair of Beats that I've come across.

Hearing about it all day on Giz and LH...

Oh God, no.... Suddenly, all of these songs are now in the bestsellers section, leading everyone to believe that this truly terrible music is somehow relevant.
