That’s what I’m saying, they do usually have detection in most places these days but its only used from like 3AM-5AM or something so as not to mess with the area’s traffic flow plan. At middle of the night hours you might notice the turn lanes, the green arrows as an example, will never go green if there’s not a car

Actually most traffic lights have this capibility. The thing is for daytime driving they’re all set up to stagger traffic for the most efficient flows. This way, generally, you’ll catch one red light and then all green lights if you’re driving on the same street at the proper speed, etc. Also red lights are used to

Oh, god - this. Please. I live in Hollywood, CA, and there are a bunch of lights for all these tiny, six-block long streets that must be triggered by pressure plates or something, because one day I was at a stoplight on my scooter, and the light would not change. I mean, *it would not change*. I swear, I kept checking

I agree with you. This is the sort of thing that is an easy fix and I don't think it should be overlooked as an answer to the question posed by the post. But I think this is a bit more prevalent around the country than you realize. That said, as another commenter notes, even where it is used, it certainly could be

I would say that the use of responsive traffic signals is much more prevalent than that of personal helicopter and automated cars. Is it the standard? I don't know, they have them in major metropolitan centers as well as the small Midwestern town I live in. I would say that they could be better.

Man that’s a good one. I was just thinking that while waiting at a stop light here in Mississippi this morning. Nobody around for miles, and still I waited for the dang thing to turn green.

Hahahaha. Let’s be realistic here.... ;)

Interestingly enough, the paper computers from Caprica

Interview with the Vampire was pretty good despite arguable casting of Tom Cruise but the sort of sequel Queen of the Damned was thoroughly terrible.

Actually, if she’s 26 years old today and King’s story was written in 1989 (as someone mentioned above), that means that her parents should have a cause of action against King for copyright infringement, because she would have been conceived in 1988. (And yes, for those about to complain, I know they wouldn’t really

Wait, can Stephen King sue her for copyright infringement of “The Dark Half?”

Half the people in Hollywood are either bad people or nuts or both. Most of Washington is worse than that and you let them run the country. just sit back and enjoy the movie. Ethan Hunt and Tom Cruise are not the same person. So it's okay to root for him.

You realize that free education and free and open internet is not really what you are asking for. These items have a cost associated with them that must be paid for. What you are advocating is for education and internet that are paid for by someone else.

Well, one of the reasons we rank above all mammals is because we’re the only mammals capable of ranking mammals in regard too each other. Given the lack of competition we might as well award the #1 spot to ourselves.

You seem angry. And a bit irrational. And a bit scientifically confused.

They’re not persons.

I’m pretty sure it’s Aja, but I don’t think he’s just being meticulous. There have been suggestions/rumours that he had some sort of serious illness or something to deal with last year. I’d assume there are still lingering problems, and Marvel have given him free reign to take whatever time he needs.
