Then I’m gonna say (probably been beaten to it) that Peter’s father is Eros, Thanos’ Eternal brother. This gives Peter the genetic half Eternal, able to breed with humans biology that would work with his Mother’s reference to his father as an angel.

If you can’t hold a sewer zombie back, how the hell does it have enough musculature to hold it’s skeleton together? This is almost like ghosts that can harm you but are incorporeal to your own touch. What’s the hurry to get to Mars other than bragging rights? I am much more impressed with asteroid mining objectives which may also benefit from bases established on the Moon. Mars can be achieved when it’s routine to be in space.
