Diablo Multiplayer was popular (especially in Diablo II), I am well aware. But it was a completely separate entity from the single player experience, which is what I was looking forward to. Fusing the two into a shared world is not something I want to have to deal with.

And you know that those shared areas are going to be a Barrens Chat level mess... not a prospect I am looking forward to.

With the news that Diablo 4 will essentially be a forced multiplayer experience my interest in the game has evaporated. I no longer care how good the gameplay is going to be, if the game is going to force me to encounter other humans (which I basically have no hope in hell of beating) then I don’t feel like playing it.
