To be fair, that relatively simple setup is what I use for audio output on my PC, so it doesn’t take much effort to use. My media library is lossless where possible, and output from the PC to the amp is bit-perfect with most modern setups over Optical cable. 

This, on my phone standard bitrate MP3 is just fine, at home on my Dali Ikon speakers, amplified through my NAD D3020V2 amp. lossless sounds a good deal better. Much more warmth and depth to the audio. But improving further on that would require an exorbitant increase in investment

To be fair, there was a bug fairly shortly after release that made your companions extremely and excessively thirsty, that has been toned down with patches. So maybe if you try again, it won’t be as bad now?

I mean... that is fair. It is a big resource investment to do it properly, and if they prefer to spend those resources elsewhere, that’s a choice they’re completely free to make. It is not as if romance is a requirement for RPGs, just a common trope.

in a way, maybe. 😂 Melanin is a pigment, so it would be a synthetic pigment in a suitable carrier, ie. paint. Though in this case I doubt they were going for coverage (ie. actually coloring or tinting something), but rather having just enough of it available to absorb harmful effects.

Agreed, my PC copy of Starfield is on a very speed M2 SSD and loading times effectively do not exist, fast travel from 1 planet to another takes maybe 5-10 seconds depending on complexity of the destination.
