It’s not impossible, just unlikely that they’ll let him. He’s definitely ignoring the unwritten rules of the presidency and none of his fellow repubs are calling him out on it. Expect him to try and pull a move like that if shit is about to hit the fan. There’s a great deal the office of the President is allowed to do

fun fact, I’m a year older than he is, and even though I’m saying it myself, I probably look half his age. :P

That was my thinking as well... “Is he saying he’s ordered something with Project Pluto-like atomic engines...”
That was a bad idea in the 60s, it’s an even worse idea now.

It’s certainly a good thing that this discussion is being had at the policy level at all right now. Though I somehow doubt it was Trumps idea (unless he literally intended it as a PR moment), but let’s hope that something positive will finally come from this.
He’ll earn my praise for his efforts on gun control if

Star Trek Discovery at one point uses what is best described as a Macroscopic Tardigrade as the navigation system for their Spore-drive.

And this is how republicans undermine the emerging narrative. This new information won’t change a thing for the deplorables.
The dad is probably a republican, and can’t stand this “liberal” political stuff his son is now suddenly into, and this will help slow their momentum.
Fox now has what it wants and will keep

There’s a problem in wanting the minority of crazies on both sides to shut up to come to a compromise though, because they’ll never shut up. Sure they’re a minority, but they’re extremely vocal and very loud. Hell the NRA (and the aggressive anti-gun nuts on the other side) do their utmost to amplify these voices as

#notallcatholics Pablo. ;)

To be fair, none of the democrats want to actually repeal the 2nd amendment, even though the GOP and NRA will scream that at the top of their lungs at every opportunity.
They want to restrict which arms you can legally buy (handguns and hunting rifles fine, automatic and semi-auto rifles not fine), but not abolish it

except you know, where they’re not. (Germany and the UK are an example).

Considering a modern PC with an SSD boot drive will probably have a sub-20 second (and probably sub-10 second) boot time, why bother putting it to sleep.
Restoring from sleep or hibernate probably takes longer than a full reboot at this point. Especially once you put Windows 10's annoying hybrid hibernate to bed for

Being sort of furry myself, I would be welcoming about it.
To be honest, it’s far more likely that I’d be the one coming out as Furry than anyone else in the immediate family. :)

I’ll be playing a fair bit of Subnautica I hope. Just completed my Colossus (after ~14 hours playing or so), now I need to find more story related stuff and build bases in new places to look for the resources I need. :)

The optical audio connections on your motherboard are fine for passing Dolby 5.1 audio from films to a receiver, but it can’t do the same for all the audio the system puts out, that’s limited to PCM Stereo.
A dedicated sound card can convert the “analog” 5.1 output from games (and other applications) to Dolby Digital,

It depends, most of the time they have a “fixed” set of moves that need to be included in the routine, it is up to the choreographer and skaters of the team to find a pattern that works to the music they select, but the choice of music, as far as I’m aware is entirely open. So I imagine the taste of the athletes is a

It didn’t. On the mission control stream they confirm loss of Core towards the end. Presumably it broke up on landing.

The thing is, a lot of this stuff is “fundamental research” which is generally not leading directly into practical applications. Most corporations will not invest a single cent in that stuff, because they can’t make money off it directly. So it carries a high financial risk, which is why funding it from the government

Correct, but that’s the states undermining their function, it doesn’t change their original job description. They can’t legally do their job in some states, which is ridiculous, but that’s US politics for you.

I agree, but the way the system is currently set up, the Electoral College should have done its job and stopped the dangerous populist from gaining office, which is literally their only job. The US is probably better off with a pure popular vote, but the Republithugs will never let that happen as long as they’re in

That check exists, it was the electoral college. It failed to protect the USA, likely because of partisan politics in the one body that really needed to be independent of either affiliation.
