One minor point, isn’t Tyranny an RPG? It’s certainly not a strategy game.

The terrain looks ok, but the character models seem designed for Morrowind more than Skyrim. Though maybe they had to sacrifice some detail due to the scale of what they were doing?
No, because the Onion doesn’t exactly hide that its Satire. Not everyone may notice it is, but it’s not deliberately trying to mislead people.
I was genuinely taken aback for a second at the top screenshot. I thought “why is there a Singularity screenshot on the Titanfall article”... Guess they indeed borrowed some mechanics, but it seems they simplified them a little bit.
With a magma chamber than can easily be dozens of kilometres deep and hundreds of kilometres across, an 8-10% water content is an absolutely obscene amount of water locked in that rock.
Since I haven’t seen any posts about the post-credits scene in the Doctor Strange film, I’ll refrain from spoiling it, but do stay and watch, it’s a cool little moment with another hero of the universe and some creative use of a beverage container.
Ah, I can see how that would help on console as well. :)
Wasn’t SkyUI mostly a mod to turn the interface into that wasn’t basically a console interface, but a proper PC interface? So that wouldn’t be very user friendly on a console.
Some are heading those same committees. :P
In other words, they’re afraid that early reviews will hurt the sales of pre-orders as they keep shovelling ever more horrible tripe at consumers, so they’re cutting out the ability of the press to warn people about terrible games by not giving them review code until the last possible moment.
well, 6GB VRAM limits his GPU to a fairly small group of cards at least, all nVidia. A GTX980 Ti or a GTX1060 are more less the only options. 6GB as it turns out is a pretty rare memory allocation for a videocard.
Agreed, even on Duel Map size with game speed set to Quick a game will take hours most of the time.
Realise that natural selection stopped applying the moment humans started living in communities and developed even rudimentary medical services. At that point there is no true natural selection, and it hasn’t truly applied to humanity for millennia.
Well, at present I think only Greece actually has more than 1 leader per civ. :) Greece has 2 (Pericles and Gorgo), everyone else has 1.
I have both art books these come from and they’re beautiful. :D
There are so many little details in the images.
That was a very nice kickstarter indeed.
Most of the art I recognize from various boardgames set in the Star Wars universe, all by Fantasy Flight, as noted at the top of the article. ;)
Water is made up of extremely common components, and it is a rather stable substance to boot, with relatively low energy, meaning it forms quite readily. As such, there is going to be water everywhere.
IF you’re going to be a space janitor, you indeed should be Roger Wilco. :D
Oh but it gets better. It’s not rendering the game at 4K, it is upscaling to 4K. Because a PS4 has enough power to do video at 4K, but nowhere near enough to do games at 4K. Hell a pair of nVidia Titans can barely manage it most of the time, and those 2 cards cost $3000.
The Hello Kitty costume is a Diablo 3 Crusader rather than a Warhammer cosplay, but otherwise you seem to be on point.
