One minor point, isn’t Tyranny an RPG? It’s certainly not a strategy game.

The terrain looks ok, but the character models seem designed for Morrowind more than Skyrim. Though maybe they had to sacrifice some detail due to the scale of what they were doing?

I was genuinely taken aback for a second at the top screenshot. I thought “why is there a Singularity screenshot on the Titanfall article”... Guess they indeed borrowed some mechanics, but it seems they simplified them a little bit.

Wasn’t SkyUI mostly a mod to turn the interface into that wasn’t basically a console interface, but a proper PC interface? So that wouldn’t be very user friendly on a console.

In other words, they’re afraid that early reviews will hurt the sales of pre-orders as they keep shovelling ever more horrible tripe at consumers, so they’re cutting out the ability of the press to warn people about terrible games by not giving them review code until the last possible moment.

well, 6GB VRAM limits his GPU to a fairly small group of cards at least, all nVidia. A GTX980 Ti or a GTX1060 are more less the only options. 6GB as it turns out is a pretty rare memory allocation for a videocard.

Agreed, even on Duel Map size with game speed set to Quick a game will take hours most of the time.

Oh but it gets better. It’s not rendering the game at 4K, it is upscaling to 4K. Because a PS4 has enough power to do video at 4K, but nowhere near enough to do games at 4K. Hell a pair of nVidia Titans can barely manage it most of the time, and those 2 cards cost $3000.

The One S isn’t going to manage 4K gaming in all but the lightest situations, 4K video will indeed work fine. Upscaling to 4K isn’t the same as rendering in 4K. :)

a lot of them are holographic signs on walls outside shops and such, the smaller ones like the calendars are unfamiliar, but I’ll admit I usually don’t pay too close attention to the wall decorations when I’m worried about the survival of my squad. :D

Very small artificial meteors, the likelihood of anything from that actually hitting the ground is minimal. They’re literally being designed to burn up in bright colours.
