Looking forward to doing a “quick” replay of the game once this comes out. Building a new PC this year, and should be able to take full advantage of the update.

Not super excited, but definitely looking forward to getting this nice update for free. :)

Not sure if that made it’s multi-platform stretch-goals in the end, but in their own words: “We are a new and relatively unknown company but our veterans have over 50 years’ experience in the game industry – credited on shipped titles such as Grand Theft Auto, WipEout, Auto

Dreaming is good and necessary, but realism may be a better idea when dealing with mega-corporations.

yeah Monkey Island might be rescue-able :) Though they may well try and create a Monkey Island film with Captain Sparrow? :D Would certainly amp up the humour somewhat...

Given how much big companies love sitting on potentially profitable IP, I wouldn’t count on mr. Gilbert getting any response on selling him his IPs back. Unless he brought some really serious money.

I have to say, I’m a bit disappointed that they “stole” the #makespacegreatagain tag from Stellaris, because this game is likely going to get more attention because it’s a dumb play-ground, rather than a smart Space Grand Strategy Game (though that needs a fair bit of work too).

Those aren’t tusks on that whale skeleton, those are part of its jaw. Normal whales have them the same way. ;)

Nope, apparently that doesn’t work. The capture region doesn’t see the game App, you’d capture your desktop. I haven’t tried this, but I’ve heard Youtubers mention this.

It may well be, but it erodes support quite heavily as no Youtuber or Streamer will be able to make money off games released on that platform. End result, less discovery, less sold copies for smaller, less advertised titles, and less support for the store from Indies who often rely on these individuals for their

Not to mention that it’s effectively impossible to stream or record these games at the moment, as all the current capture programs can’t hook into Windows 10 Apps, as they don’t use executables.

Good grief, I hope this is not a sign that the new Mass Effect will be a space-COD clone... D:

What people seem to forget is that there’s quite literally no way this upgraded PS4.5 can run games in 4K. It may be able to upscale better, but you’re likely only going to see 4K output for video.

What this version will probably be able to do is run the games a lot smoother, at higher framerates and with more detailed

Xavier is a giant nerd as it is (note, this is meant as a compliment), so I’m pretty sure he explained what he’s going to do beforehand, probably with more lore than they’d care to know about. :P

That would basically make it remarkably similar to the Coldfire Trilogy by C.S. Friedman, which is a fantasy series that turns out to be set in a sci-fi universe.

ah well, my mistake. :) I thought that it would make too much sense for it to be spelled properly, hence the “y”, didn’t google it first.

Most likely a modified Frostbyte engine, like they used for DA:Inquisition. Supports all the latest shinies, and is cheap to use as tools already exist, merely need new assets.

Actually that part makes perfect sense. Once the verdict was known, the legal department has control, anything you publish could be considered further damage, and since an appeal is likely, shutting up about it is probably something they literally mandate.

*facepalm*
And people wonder why gaming is still regularly viewed as immature... This add is a perfect example. Who-ever the female host ends up being they’re there purely as a sexual ornament to lure in the viewers.
Quite awful.

Supreme Commander used this a fair bit already (and I think #2 did as well). You could set camera points to display on separate screens, and you could set the map to a different screen as well. Quite useful given the size of the battlefields. To be honest, I assume “Ashes of the Singularity” has this option as well. :)

Well, he was basically the longest serving judge on the Supreme Court, so he did shape the legal landscape for decades and very influential too. So Obama wasn’t lying, he may not have liked his beliefs, but that doesn’t mean Obama had to lie about Scalia.
