I find it odd that the story seems to single out Socialism as a causal factor for the problems related to AI and Automation. If anything, a hands on Socialist government would ban or limit the use of automation (which we’re already seeing in Europe). It’s the more ‘hands off’ governments that wouldn’t seek to reign in…

My concern is the “Socialist/Progressive Dystopia” the game describes as it’s setting. It looks like a caricature of a future that no one actually wants perpetrated by people who wouldn’t have the power to institute it.

This. Game looks awesome. If it turns out to be good (and doesn’t try to push a shitty political agenda), I’ll buy it with zero regard to the creator’s political views. If it doesn’t, I won’t buy it. Simple as that.
