Agreed. Unless an AC game is clearly meant as a side story of sorts, I prefer having some reason why we’re exploring these worlds. Rogue really managed to make it interesting, with the destruction of so many Assassin groups at the end, but we haven’t had an important modern-day moment since... well, I guess the movie

I haven’t gotten around to the Witcher series yet, but I’m thinking I should probably get to it soon. Just so many open world games to work on (like, I’ve still got Far Cry 3 to start).

I have! I know very little about the show; just what little I’ve been hearing from vague connections to Rick and Morty (so, I know that Bill Cipher exists, but nothing about him). Any specific info, I don’t know anything.

As someone who just recently started watching Gravity Falls (after all the references from Rick and Morty), I’ve gotta say, I’m okay with any comparison. I’m only a few episodes in, but I’m loving what the show does.

See, the simplicity of the exploration/progression and the style are two of the reasons I love that game. For some reason, I remember seeing a ton of reviews bash these points, but they were two of my favorite aspects.
