I laugh every time I see some know it all gamer who can't even tell the difference between the game engine and the game assets.

Netimmerse, which Morrowind was based on, was created in 1997. It was effectively Gamebryo 1.0. Between Morrowind and Oblivion, they changed the name to Gamebryo, and this is what Oblivion and Skyrim are based on.

Art doesn't necessarily require some large, complicated bit of craft. The intent behind art is much more important than whatever process you use to get there. I don't understand why people are so offended by art they refuse to even try to understand. If you don't like it or don't want to "get" it, then just look

A person who is more able to communicate with and understand the needs of others in a project is going to produce the strongest work because they will know how their work contributes to the whole. Specializing in one thing while ignoring the other aspects entirely is a terrible way to work in a team.

Shame being a random internet jackass isn't a good career field, because you've clearly got that down pat.

Yeah individual jobs are obviously for one thing.
I'm not saying "jack of all trades" is a career path.
I'm saying that if I can do many things competently then more jobs are things I can apply for, or at the bare minimum it means I'm more versatile in completing an entire cohesive project alone (rather than outsourcing

"Pick up the can."

What is this? It's not as if it's news or informative, just self-promotion. The headline and body make it seem as if some new development has occurred, when it's just an in-house video.

I think it'd be hilarious if we overtook xtube and used it as the de facto gaming hub.

Bonus entry:

I think Company of Heroes was fine. Not disappointed in that OR BF4. They both delivered more of what I loved about previous iterations. I didn't suffer any major technical issues with BF4 either.

Right. Same for basketball. No hitting or tight pants = not a sport.

Sport:

I remember I was out at a bar once with my friends, and I happened to be wearing a Zelda shirt. I turned around and this guy was literally less than a foot away from me and angrily demanded with a roll of his eyes and even jabbing a finger at my face, "Okay, I'll bite. Name me one thing, just ONE THING you would know

Honestly... what a crap response by DICE then.

I've been gaming since Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Pitfall on the Atari 2600 were released.

I've seen the gaming industry take a dive ever since EULAs, TOS and SSA's were put in place. Basically giving companies full rights to do whatever the flock they want
