I did some quick math based on the Wed qualifying times from previous years to project to overall times for the VW. Being super conservative, the VW should match the 8:11 record. Being aggressive on the gain, I estimated a 7:46.

I’m in similar boots right now, trying to get rid of a 2005 VW for something more nicer. I think we’ve about settled on the Escape with the 2.0t. Used, they’re under $20k with low miles. They drive pretty good. They’re mostly spacious.
I remember when the car was first shown off it had a full LCD gauge cluster that looked incredible. Then they showed up with.... That.
Most pickups have this. However, I have also personally lost the spare tire off an early 00s F150 when the cable mechanism that held it on rusted out.
The middle bit is nice. The front and rear look like it got caught in a wreck between 2 current gen Civics.
I would have, but the interior coupled with the lease cost was a deal breaker considering what we’d use it for.
I will say I enjoyed driving it, the Volt, and the Leaf. They are actually quite enjoyable to drive. The Prius Prime that we tested on the other hand, despite having a really cool looking interior, felt like driving said people-pod.
I liked the styling of the interior. I could even overlook the feel of most of it. But I’m 6' with a 36" waist, and the seats felt like the chairs you sit in at a wedding.
Funny on the Bolt. I went and looked at one at the only dealer that had more than one in town, and they were all parked in a back lot mostly uncharged (power and test drive distance were limited because the one we test drove only had a 15 mile range left). The dealer was also pretty odd on them. Granted yes, I had…
Maybe because they don’t want to deal with John, 45, who is at the bar every night telling the world about his problems and how Trump is going to solve them?
My guess would be either an S10 or Ranger somewhere in the midwest. There’s a guy out there who bought one in high school and kept one wheel lit up until the thing died probably 10 years later.
I estimate that this is the cheapest Land Cruiser in the country by about $10k (citation needed). That will make this a NP no matter how much rust it has.
I look forward to the ST version.
Trust me, there’s a lot of shit that goes on behind the scenes that you don’t see. When the box gets as small as Nascar has made it, it takes a lot of engineering to find the corners.
Fast, and bulbous. FAST AND BULBOUS!
Roommate in college had an e30 328e. For those not familiar with those, that would be the base economy version with almost no power. This one was also misfiring on at least 1 or 2 cylinders, and straight piped. What that led to was a car that sounded like a heavily cammed race car that couldn’t get out of its own way.…
Dammit you just made me spend my entire break browsing Gumtree to see if anything like this could be had and imported for cheap.
