It should be discouraged because it has a negative influence on the industry as a whole, it doesn't simply affect those who buy it. The same way you determine what's a crime and what isn't: if it has negative repercussions on society it's a crime, if it's an inconvenience only for someone it's no crime.

You're right, he shouldn't have been fired for his snarky remarks. He should've been fired for his blatant stupidity, which wholly transpired from his tweets. It's a mistery how people so high up in the industry are such tools.

Even if it played Wind Waker... that's a 10 years old game... what made you believe you could play current pc games on it?

"Those people should definitely get with the times and get the internet. It's awesome."

It's not about the always online stuff, really. I've never had an Xbox or Xbox 360 (not saying I hate them either) so it doesn't bother me directly. What worries me is the guy's attitude, he's Microsoft's creative director, he has a great influence over the system and so on all the industry, yet he seems (A) an ass,

That would be a good point... if Araki hadn't kept this up for the whole series. Not hating, I'm a big fan of JoJo, just saying that long explanations have become a standard in the manga, I especially remember some over-complicated stuff in Vento Aureo and Stone Ocean.

I can tell from your words that you're just regurgitating what you assimilated at school and in your family, from your comments it's clear you never even made an effort to think about the matter, you just go "Of course it's not art! Art is the stuff you see in books and in museums! The paintings of Van Gogh, music by

And Socrates scores another one for the team!

Well, you aren't either... LUCKYLY.

Will you tell that to the school principal as well in the future? Don't make the tests too hard or my son's going to cry!

I see your point but there are way more things missing in Zelda: aside from levels, there are no stats both for monsters and characters, and there's a lack of any kind of customization. All pretty important things in almost every RPG.

It's you who's not getting my point. You're using RPG as a super-category that basically encompasses 90% of the games out there (since nowadays even racing games and sports games have a career mode with some sort of narrative), on the sole basis that role-playing could SEMANTICALLY apply to almost anything. Which is

You play in turns, choosing what to do next with each one of your "pieces", so to defeat the enemy in the most efficient and quick way. You do so by applying a strategy to your decisions.

Nooooo? Really? You're saying that standing up to what you see as right requires SACRIFICES? I never would have thought so.

That's due to the fact that those guys have no idea of what an RPG is. The rules and elements an RPG must adhere to and have are quite clear. If some of those elements aren't present, while elements from other genres are, you can call the game something/RPG (action/RPG, strategy/RPG, ...). Zelda hasn't a SINGLE RPG

Really?

Of course we can fault a company for wanting to make TOO MUCH money at the expense of the consumers, who're MISTREATED. Besides, having a job is a right, but making money (as in LOTS) ISN'T a costitutional right in any country I know of.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Obvious troll is obvious.

I've been depressed. I've played the whole game. At one point I started skipping the dialogue to reach the answers, I didn't make a single mistake, they were SO obvious in their semplicity it was painful. To say that this game is even remotely TRYING to touch onto the subject would be blasphemous.
