What seems a little strange is that men come in for criticism if they are 50 and dating someone who is 25 (because why aren’t they dating women their own age?), but 25 year old women dating 50 year old men... less so?

Wish that was possible, but cops have bad aim even when trying to hit center mass. They are trained to aim for the middle - if you are going to shoot at someone, shoot to stop. If you try to aim for the legs you’re going to miss and then bad things will happen.

Non-lethal force should always be the second choice (after no force at all), but an unarmed person can still easily kill someone - especially in the midst of a psychotic episode.
