Perhaps Ai is a popular name in Japan, but, from a western standpoint at least, there is a certain irony to naming the only character who would be player-controlled in the game AI.

That is great if you know exactly what you are trying to launch. I have been doing that for years. Sometimes it is nice to go through the hierarchy looking for an app you can't remember the exact name for. In those cases the Start Screen sucks, as it eliminates the start screen.
