You made me literally LOL at the ‘plastic spoons’ comment. For real though, how are we so far advanced with materials, but every straight 6 BMW leaks from their oil filter housing gasket?? $10 part, $1000 fix

Its odd, I see 16 of these for sale at autotrader from dealers - stock photos of course. Think they are real?

That article doesn’t say how or why it is dangerous to fill while running, just a generic ‘risk of ignition is higher.’ Ignition from what exactly?

Where is a 2020 accord hybrid starting at 25k? I’m seeing more like $35K, unless there’s a stripped down hybrid version I don’t know about

Consistent vocal ‘no, no touch, this isn’t yours, this isn’t a toy etc’ reinforced with taking their hand off of it. We wouldn’t move the temptation out of their reach or distract them with something else, because that doesn’t help the lesson. Its better to let them see what ‘no’ means. It would be 2 or 3 or more

Or train them to leave them alone. My kids are now 3 and 4.5, and it only took a few times of careful and consistent parenting to make categories of things like remotes, drinking glasses, coins, decorations or candy on the coffee table etc to be off limits.

haha reminds me of the t-shirt circling around during the ‘unintended acceleration’ scandal:

Absolute worst is a Nissan Versa. I use to think ‘you know, its 2019, you cant buy a bad car anymore right? Even econoboxes must be ok.

TIL Turkey, Armenia and Pakistan had a 3some and made a country

Dave Berry.  I haven’t heard or thought of that name in like 15 years, I use to love his stuff!

One of my greatest regrets is selling my Evo 9. I had it just under 2 years, had a ton of mods and 15k miles, but was getting married and worried about future transmission problems. I’ve been in an ‘06 Titan ever since..reliable and financially smart, but I still yearn for the speed and grip of my ol car

But you used an EVO VIII as the stock photo...no wonder its still just a dream

Fooled me: as a north american, I just see 6 identical people standing there.

I think the real tragedy is they trusted the guy with Parkinson to record the video

^ *reads article about 19 year old speeding*

Looking back at my immature modding choices hurts me. My 2nd car in high school was a 2000 Nissan Altima. It was slow, reliable, and 4 doors. So naturally I put purple under-glow lights, a massive stereo, and some god-awful chrome wheels on her. While white. And living in an upper-middle class suburb.

That poor semi

yep still a thing.  Gatta protect that module somehow

I agree with you 100%. Its a calculated snap moments decision based on factors like yaw rate, rotation rate, wheel speed, steering angle, system readiness, and sudden deceleration from impact. If the parameters show a slide sideways with sudden deceleration from impact, it pops the curtain to keep the passengers face
