I like it. Or for a less permanent solution, just flip them around. Normally they are just mounted in a symmetrical oval hole...

I think airbag deployment is too fast and violent for these to help.  It is rare, but I have seen sunroofs popped up out of place from a large airbag deployment.

A runner up would be CD slot mounted magnetic phone holder. like this one. No one uses CD’s anymore, and I think its the best way to mount your phone without damaging any interior panels.

for hot states: Viper Alarm with Remote Start. In Florida, when I park I make sure the A/c is either set to full blast cold or a cold number and auto. When I’m about to leave work and enter my car that has been sitting in the Florida sun baking all day, I click a button, the car starts, and I don’t get 2nd degree

sorry should have specified, it was a Jimny.  First time  I had ever heard of one

An excellent question I dont have the answer to. I always just get the opposite statement from insurance adjusters: “I know the car is only 1 year old and has 4k miles, but their policy language clearly says aftermarket parts can and will be used on their vehicle.”

A voice of reason, bravo. There was zero reason to follow the guy who got kicked out of a bar. It sucks, its awful, so lets learn from it, and not do the same.

Ahh a Jimny! My wife and I fell in love with our little crappy rental jeep in costa rica a long time ago. Hilarious little bugga.

Thats good in theory, but I see this senario played out all the time: Someone who can’t afford a loan gets a $1-3k, which is a mechanical nightmare. Within a year it has left them stranded multiple times, making them lose wages and waste money on maintenance. And likely in 1-2 years the car isn’t worth it to them to

Scrolled down here to say the same thing. Gap would have made all the difference. I see it every day as well people skipping rental coverage - its only like $20/year, but being cheap can leave you without a car for a month or longer for a large collision repair. Who would have thought getting the cheapest possible

Like others said, these are the pre-auction bids. I bet it will go over $30k, I’ll watch it and report back :)

Seriously, I know we need catchy headlines, but I wish article writers would have a basic understanding of the world they are writing about. The implication of the ABC article, and regurgitated here, is that the steel expanded downward so much that boats cant fit anymore. The real situation is lateral expansion at

I literally came to the comments section to berate the same car. I use to think “its 2018, you can’t buy a bad car these days anymore.” Until I rented a Versa for a week. I agree with all of your sentiments, it is an abomination that shouldn’t exist. I think if i was gifted one of these cars i would sell it

But...why did it take them 6 seconds to cross a street in front of a car? Shouldn’t the headline read “biker had 6 long seconds to identify car barreling toward them and GTFO of the way..

Look at the picture, that is a jogging stroller. The news article says there were no crosswalks nearby. In the back of the photo is a beautiful sideway that faces the ocean. MAYBE she was “wheeling a baby around a busy street” because she was jogging on a wide sidewalk next to the ocean for some god damn exercise and

How about the 2016+ ford f15o excessive badging? With the front doors open, on the sides of the dash is an F150 badge....I guess so people who are confused what that giant ford truck is called can tell as you climb in it....

On the hidden things, as much as i dislike GM cars, many new ones have a hidden compartment behind the navi screen. Perfect place for a stubby security piece.

haha I read that and assumed that was Navy speak for a little boat, not autocorrect XD
