I’ve always wondered what happens to someone drinking from a straw or worse, a hard plastic cup during a collision. You know it had to have happened to someone somewhere. ugh it hurts thinking about it.

Go cheap on things that are not a safety item, and are easy to replace.
I guess it depends on the person and expectations. If the SHTF so bad that you feel the need to pull out and use a firearm, you will not have time to chamber a round. The idea of carrying a firearm unloaded incase you hear of a crime in the distance, and as a concerned citizen want to get your gun, load it, and…
how did you get the price tag of 49k from an article that explicitly said 39k OTD (which would put purchase somewhere around 33k using back of the napkin maths) And sorry, what car has ‘expensive metal’ air vents in the rear bumper??.....
nice vocabulary, but you realize that is plastic trim on the rear bumper (like 90% of cars on the road), and not a pseudo-intake right?
Clearly a more effective firearm would have been a semiauto, 9mm ball ammo for maximum rounds per mag
Shoulda went with a full size 9mm, he could have done all of his rampaging without reloading that old wheel gun.
On many newer GM’s, they illuminate the backup lights when you unlock your car to get in, or when you park and exit your car. The idea is convenience perimeter lighting, but in practice it makes it look like you left your car in reverse, or you are suddenly backing up without the brakes applied.
Exactly! God i’ve slammed my brakes so many times in parking lots thinking somebody is backing out right into me, only to learn they just unlocked their car. Damn you GM, Damn you!!
Great article Lee!! That was some impressive melting/failure. I’d be scared of a round cooking off at those temps thou, dang. Also, thank you for using the less common ‘suppressor’ as a better descriptor and including a video about how ‘silencers’ aren’t movie silent. Knowledge is power, and people should know guns…
Very interesting. thanks for the term. I’ve already found a pretty comprehensive thread on an M5 forum that talks about them. I didn’t know MSD’s were a thing
I thought according the old celica commercials, “they only look fast”
Nice maths :) another fun fact I just learned from a customer (who learned the hard way): That $3,000 down vanishes if the car gets totaled even after just 1 month of ownership. A customers car was totaled by a kid on a cell phone rear ending them. The leased car payoff was covered to the dealership (mandatory gap…
Wow that is amazing looking. Customer can be fun, just this week I had to repair a case of mistaken fluids - owner put power steering fluid in his brake fluid reservoir. He discovered the mistake the next day, when all four brakes were locked up solid from swollen rubber and seals. It wasn’t as visually stunning as…
Easy way to remember them (from my youth) Stalagmites MIGHT grow bigger and bigger from the bottom. Stalagtites hold TIGHT to the ceiling
CD Slot magnetic cell phone holder
A vigilant bystander got this great picture just before the shot went off
I hear you and understand. I’ve just gotten jaded since last year. In 2016 my home was broken into and burgled, my wallet stolen from a locker at a gym (almost 1k cash in it at the time), and my SUV was stolen from my driveway. I’m in a pretty nice area too, so these aren’t common things. So since 2016, I’ll take…
In any case where deadly force is used, there has to be a clear and present risk of life (or assumed and inferred, like they said they had a gun etc). If not the victim could be charged. A case i just recently saw mentioning this was here: ASP
