You Gatta Pay to Play. He should either move to a home that hat has a garage big enough to fit his toys, or dump the old turds. I live in a deed-restricted neighborhood in FL, and I moved in knowing it is a two edge sword. The laws are restrictive to keep the neighborhood looking nice, but the restrictive laws are

Man, 5 vehicles, at a dealership. I’d love to see this story have a follow-up with the damages total.

I bow my head in solemn silence for this lost gem. I owned a silver 9 for 2 years, and it was the most fun vehicle I have owned so far. After a few thousand miles i went the Buschur Racing route, added all the goodies like FMIC, hard pipes, fuel pump, turbo-back exhaust, BOV, coilovers, and my favorite piece of all -

Beautifully said, I like the analogy. As a general mech i drive all sorts of cars on test drives/diagnostics. I didn’t really give BMW’s a serious look until i had to test drive an 08 535. After that brief drive, i fell in love. I repair BMW’s often, and i see the frequent and high repair bills...but it really does

After reading the title..... Autopilot was going exactly the same speed as every car in that posted speed limit in FL

And to think if he would have bought a better quality car (anything but CRYsler Doge Cheep) he would still be alive today.

Exactly the right term “target fixation”. Its a skill that has to be learned, it is one of the most important life lessons I took from a 1 day ‘autocross’ class. Human nature is to stare at the impending doom-you have to learn to instead look at your route to escape

God i wish the ‘stanced’ movement would crash and die like the cars themselves. I will never understand the desire to make it look like someone dropped a semitruck on my roof, breaking my suspension and rendering my tires useless with insane camber.

Excellent Point. I remember reading in disgust about Toyota’s problems, and how it only seemed to happen in America, and only after a highly publicized crash. We get one car a week that the driver claims the brakes failed, and Thats why they crashed.

If only Toyota had this many data points during the Camry Unintended Acceleration *COUGH wrong pedal pushed and panic ensues COUGH* of 2010

Whenever I read about things like this, my mind goes to math..

Alternate working title: Pieces of shit can still be kind of fun if they are fast.....but they still look like pieces of shit

It’s hard to judge in a video, but it seems like that supra was going awfully slow before the crash. I hate to give them the excuse, but perhaps this was a brake failure situation? There weren’t any skid marks, the front wheels never seems to slow down, and it looked like it was driving on ice. Normally if you are

I drive our tow-trucks from time to time, so I’ve seen my fare share of serious collisions. The red puddle I would say is vehicle fluids with the traffic light reflecting red. 90% coolant, with likely some transmission/power steering if they have forward coolers. Two radiators under pressure, instant-dump when the

Jeessus. If the victim’s car would have been just a few feet more forward, the charger would have cut it in half, and Montalvo would definitely not have survived. The deflection and spinning is what saved their lives, all that kinetic energy dissipating out, instead of being crushed into the car.

I think I won Jalopnik today [starts racism war over one word pun]

I want to star this 100x’s!
