I saw the same thing. Very badly worded sentence, that DEFINITELY implied the engine themselves cost 200k

Older BMW needing dash, glass removal from HVAC Box, steering wheel, center console, drivers seat, rear seat base - that alone would probably total the car. Then factor glass shard secondary damage (pass seat, sometimes door trim panels and other windows scratched with glass particles) Shes a goner IMO. Guy got crazy…
indeed. I have several customers with similar Jags, and I swear every 6 months its a minimum $1k of maintenance or repairs.
Thanks for making me look up that medical word lol
Indi mechanic/airbag tech at a indi body shop here. I had to chime in really quick concerning the carfax/airbag comment. Airbag deployment/replacement requires a dealership trip for programming on probably less than 10% of the cars we work on. I use an all makes scanner/j2534 programmer, and often times factory SRS…
Clickbate title change: Grisly video of AFTERMATH of fatal Lamborghini street race.
At 14:00, draining the fluid from the shock absorber with a specialized tool, this is an extremely thorough factory deconstruction. Wow
After reading the comments i realized i skimmed the article and focused on the wrong aspect. Good advice in the article, its very true here as well, yelling just makes the managers defensive, not helpful
“ And the truck had 95,000 miles on it at the time. Maybe the line was just rotted? This is Michigan, after all.”
It should, but cars fall through the cracks. You’d be surprised at the car’s we have legally acquired because the insurance company lost/forgot about them after settling with the customer.
That’s why customer can go after the insurance company for diminished value claims after an insurance job. Helps pay lost resale value from a repaired vehicle. But its pretty hard to imagine the insurance company would give up almost $50,000 more by paying off the vehicle and totaling it vs repair it.
Very interesting. Our shop is over 40k deep in equipment and training, it’d be nice to get back 8k from Ford. Thanks for the heads up, we havent heard of this yet
I want to high five you and yell Amen Brother! Thats an average price done in an average time frame. non-story
I’ve found in our area, just because the Dealership has all the money and equipment to walk the walk, they don’t necessarily have skilled workers to use them properly
I’m confused why this article exists. Working at my family’s collision shop, its not uncommon to have $10, $15, $20k or more repair bills on new vehicles. I laughed out loud at the bold title “wow 17k, shouldnt that be a total?” Industry average is 80% of ACV, so at the bloated msrp of 70k, the repair bill could have…
sooooo drunk
I just see 3 pictures of the same jeep painted different colors...am i missing something? XD I guess the jeep is hard to follow, because they have yet to change it
All that awesome and they put the chrome louvers in the fenders?? -10,000 style points
