@Protector one: I hear that used to be an option in the early days of air travel, but became unpopular quickly because some people with compromised liver function or other unknown/undisclosed issues just didn't wake up.
Instead of taking away everybody's pocket knives, why not just give everybody 21+ a weapon for the ride (knife, taser, tranq dart, etc), that they return when disembarking.

If you really want to do it yourself, just use gpg and save it in an encrypted text file. Sync it or store it somewhere where you can easily access it (dropbox, or whatever).

Exercise, even just a little bit. Exercise as soon as you're awake enough to avoid fall down when you do 20 jumping jacks (though what you do is up to you), and do it at the same time every weekday. After a week, your body expects to wake up when it's time to exercise - so you'll wake up naturally, and (relatively)…
@geryon: That has to depend on geographical location too, I think. My house was built in the '80s and it has one (original to the house). I wish it had more programmable points that just the 4 for weekdays and 2 for weekends, though.
