Alt-Tab is easily the most-used key combo I use. I don't know how anyone multi-tasks without it.

Ctrl-Tab will cycle through open tabs in browsers as well (IE lets you select "MRU Order" to match the behavior of the OS in the Internet Options, buried in the Advanced options), which is critical if you have more than

Alt-Tab and Shift-Alt-Tab ... Shift-Alt-Tab flipping through apps in the reverse order of Alt-Tab.

Why not just right-click any empty spot on your taskbar and click "Task Manager". Windows 8 also allows you to right-click the start button to select "Task Manager" (among many other useful links).

Still waiting for "Milo" for Kinect. Ahem. Strongly featured during the original Kinect launch, he was never seen or heard from again...

Backup windows settings is VERY useful when your PC dies, and you have to get a new one (or reinstall the OS). You sign back in, and all your settings are just there. I was blown away when that happened for me, when my PC died and I got a new one. I was dreading an entire weekend of re-configuring my PC, as I

Your opinion of Internet Explorer is outdate (give IE11 a try), and I've never seen SkyDrive/OneDrive "bork up" file names, so I don't know what you're talking about there.

As a maximalist, I'll have you know that between skill perks and enchantments, I can carry a WHOLE FUCKING LOT MORE THAN YOU!

What's really cool is using Xbox One SmartGlass to "draw" your environment on your touch-tablet or phone, and seeing the results right on the screen in Xbox One. It's pretty cool.

Windows 8.1 is great. It's better than Windows 7. It just takes about a half an hour of learning the new things, and about 5 minutes of configuring to optimize for desktop-only use.

Well, those two geoDefense games are free, and they're a lot more fun than something like Plants vs. Zombies (and come in more compact, easy-to-play-on-a-time-budget forms).

Have you played the two games "geoDefense" and "geoDefense Swarm"? They're more tower defense games, but I found them enjoyable. Beyond those, I've downloaded a lot of WP8 games, but I play very few of them with any regularity at all.

In a world of used games sales (where the developers/production company make zero dollars on each resale), DLC is one way for those people to actually make money on their investment in the resale scenario.

Wish they'd do a single-player campaign DLC or something. Seriously. I *want* to play this game, but I don't have six or twelve friends to play with, I hate PvP, and I hate playing with complete strangers.

I know, and that just makes it hurt all the more... like it's JUST out of reach! Why can't they port that to WP8?!?

If you haven't tried the "Chocolate Mousse" flavor, you haven't lived.

I don't know six people who would want to play this. And it's 6v6 PVP, not "co-op". Co-Op implies it's your friends against the computer. I hate PVP and this is ONLY "PvP".

Well, not ANY FPS fan... I *love* FPS games (Borderlands 1 & 2, Skyrim, Fallout 3, F.E.A.R. 1, 2, & 3, Half-Life and all that, Doom and all that, Wolfenstein and all that, etc, etc).

By percentage, it was 90%, but that was just one time, and a total fluke (and got me an achievement). I average between 40% and 70% usually.

Heh, nice to meet a fellow Wordament addict :-)

There are only a couple of games I miss... to be honest. And very few apps (those are always in the 'would be nice to have but not a deal breaker' category). I've found almost everything I need, app-wise. I rarely get "app-envy" any more :-)
