Having jumped from iOS to WP8 already, I can say it's worth it even before Cortana #NotLookingBack

Really? It baffles you? MS announced their product at E3 and got a shit-storm of people saying "No! We don't want THOSE features! Those are too new and forward looking! UNDO ALL THAT AND MAKE IT LIKE IT WAS!"

It's about facts, not opinions.

Except it's not, and it's not.

Interesting. Is this in 8.1 or just 8.0? Because 8.1 has both a sync status icon (to let you know when it's doing its thing) and 'shadow files' so it doesn't download everything locally if you don't specifically request to make things available off-line... an icon and some metadata is the only thing that's

No it doesn't, not it doesn't, and that's silly.

I never did playthrough 2 either on BL2 ... mostly because the game was so freakin' huge that by the time I got to the end (and through the DLC)... I just was done with it.

False assumption. I would argue that Borderlands 2 was almost too big. There is no way I would assume or even WANT Borderlands 3 to be "bigger".

Men in other countries (Europe & Middle East) show a lot more physical affection than American men do.

Um... the smallest apartment I've ever lived in was probably 900 sq ft. The largest was about 1800 sq ft or so. I can't even imagine a 700 sq ft place, let alone 275sq ft. Yikes.

If there isn't a single-player campaign, or a mode where me and one other friend can play against AI with no other human players (I hate PvP, and I hate playing with total strangers), then this game offers nothing for me.

Exactly. It's pretty obvious that this is an issue of projects (both sides) that slipped behind schedule, yet had hard ship dates. If you've never been involved in shipping a product with a hard ship date, this may seem confusing. If you have... then you get it.

After the "Season Pass" DLC, the subsequent DLCs just don't appeal to me in the least. They all require multiple players (I have just one person I played with, when I wasn't solo), and those raid boss fights are just obnoxious and not fun to me.

I played through the 'story' DLCs after just one playthrough. The game is so big, I never really did a second playthrough with any characters... having six characters going means I've already played the game many multiples of times (I only finished the base game with two of them though... so far)

Am I the only one that was completely thrown by the old-fashioned manual type-writer? Seriously?

tap windows key, type a few characters, press enter, and you barely even notice the flicker. Seriously, this is the most over-trumped non-issue imaginable. It's like you're bending over backwards to try and make up something to complain about.

I'll grant you your use case here, but it's an extremely unusual, minor edge-case that 99.9% of the population wouldn't have. And I still think you're making too big of a deal about it.

Then get another monitor... start screen appears on just one, desktop/game stays on the other. You can also dock things like TweetDeck (metro version) to the side of your game. There are a lot of options here.

Sorry, I misspoke/mistyped. I mostly multitask. I never have fewer than a dozen tabs open in a browser, and a dozen application windows open. I'm a software developer. A power user. I multi-task with dual monitors.

You're right... my bad :-)
