As a crotchety old (well, getting there) guy and a veteran of the microcomputer revolution (microcomputer was what we called a single-user computer before there were "personal" computers) I really can't buy into your list. In fact, the only things on the list I can really agree with are the SSD and the cheap cables.

How about really good coffee? It's something most people drink everyday and it's so ubiquitous that you find a wide range of quality. But once you've had really good coffee everything else feels like it's missing something.

Whitson, you forgot the one you can never downgrade without getting absolutely pissed off about: speedy internetz! xD

All you have to do is look at the distinction between how one segment of the population reacted to Clive Bundy, and how they reacted to Ferguson.

Yeah the general white reaction to this has seemed very similar (I mean, on a whole other level obviously) to men who don't think discrimination/misogyny exists because they don't see it. You don't see it because it doesn't happen to you, jackass.

If it is true that he attacked the officer, my opinion on the initial incident may change slightly.

It is beyond frustrating to compare the reaction to the protesters in Ferguson and the protesters on the Bundy ranch, and not have people saddened by the extreme difference between the two. One is a group of unarmed people walking and congregating on an urban street - they were threatened with guns and tanks and

Okay OBVIOUSLY Idris Elba is way better than Benedict Cumberbatch. Everyone with two eyes and a soul knows this. But Benedict is the better choice for Shere Khan. Idris should play Bagheera.

Does anyone else hate washing their hair? I wash mine like twice a week. And it's not like it looks amazingly shiny and gorgeous because of it. It looks average-to-bad and I just put it up in a ponytail and try to ignore it.

I think you should probably write yourself up for that.

I feel your Frozen-oriented pain. I work in a blood lab, and I always seem to end up singing "Let it Go" when I'm getting samples out of the walk-in. What can I say? The cold never bothered me anyway.

I sing "Lock the Taskbar" quite a bit, and once i got written up for "leading an insurrection" :)

At Last, Law and Order SVU can finally do a story where Hudson University is held accountable for the insane amount of rape, assault, murder, and other crimes that have gone on over the years.

It was Warren Harding, wasn't it?

Unrelated but I'm personally convinced that, as a group, people who read the Game of Thrones books are the worst people in the universe.

See, the thing is, I don't know these kind of assholes. I do, however, know the kind of assholes who post FB statuses like, "I love sitting back and watching the internet collectively lose its mind! #gameofthrones" less than an hour after the episode airs. Or goddamn book readers who can't shut up about how much

I sometimes like to read the synopsis of a novel or movie on wiki and read spoilery reviews of them. Helped me stay away from hyped up shit stains like Fifty shades of grey and convinced me to watch Frozen /kanyeshrug

I don't know.. I mean it aired 4 years ago...

That's not the issue. I would never want to spoil the film for someone else and one can assume that people will always be discovering Citizen Kane.

do those zombies invade crimea?
