I don’t know a lot, but I knew that Lee Breedlove, wife of Craig Breedlove, established a 308 mph record driving her husbands Spirit of America - Sonic 1 back in the mid-60s.

I don’t know a lot, but I knew that Lee Breedlove, wife of Craig Breedlove, established a 308 mph record driving her husbands Spirit of America - Sonic 1 back in the mid-60s. That’s the record that Kitty O’Neil broke (although O’Neil’s record was not considered an automotive record, as the SMI Motivator had only 3…
If memory serves (and Wikipedia didn’t mislead), in Europe, they have maximum truck lengths. That’s why European trucks are mostly cabovers, to provide maximum trailer length within a fixed overall length. This looks like a way to further maximize the trailer length. Also, it might be easier and quicker to drive…
I bought one for my son (not through a rental agency resale group - through a dealer, but the car was a former basic rental econobox). We didn’t have it for long, but it was due to my son’s driving, not the car. For the limited time we had it, it was a top-notch vehicle - well cared for, no mechanical issues, pretty…
Testing his Naruto run?
I would love to have seen the expression on that Ferrari driver’s face as he got definitively owned by a 2CV!
Seriously, I get the engine swap, but what did they do for the suspension? Is that anything available on the aftermarket, or did he need to build that himself?
Driver salaries aren’t part of the cap, correct? If so, that is not part of the equation.
All good, didn’t remember that little plot twist!
Yeah - Steve Carrell has a new show - it’s called “Space Force!” You in?
There’s a legitimate debate to be had whether the space-related roles of the Air Force should be in a separate service. The camo is an identification thing - it’s the sort of “I’m a worker, not management” attitude that is (sometimes synthetically) an attempt to build esprit de corps. Of course, since it happened…
“Also, Space Force is going to have six-star generals. The bigliest amount of stars a general’s ever had.”
Animals have different color vision than us. Do we know that the animals they hunt can pick up on fluorescent orange? If not, then it won’t affect their hunting, and it will make them more visible to humans, and therefore, safer.
There is certainly a lot to debate about the Space Force. But it’s not going to be astronauts wearing cammies - if we’re gonna talk about it, we need to frame it in a more realistic framework of what the Space Force is going to do, and whether those roles are better addressed in the Air Force vs. a separate service.…
Check out George Lucas’ early filmography . . .
No it’s not. Power is not torque divided by time. That leaves out rotational velocity. I can apply a torque on a wrench all the live long day, and if it doesn’t move, no work was done, therefore no power.
It doesn’t have to be in radians/second, but if it is not, it’s gonna require a conversion factor to get there.
Power is angular velocity X torque. Angular velocity measured in radians/second avoids a unit conversion.
Or some sort oflast year’s racer as a track-day car, and the base model for the road. But is that what this car’s potential buyers are looking for?
