The Merc V12 is no smoother than the V8. It’s an old engine while the V8s are basically new.

It’s the same thing at Mercedes with the S63/S65 or G63/G65. The V8 models make pretty much the same, if not more, torque and low rpm and quite obviously have the better engines from so many standpoints. The AMG 65 only exits because it’s more expensive and ostentatious.

Also the Model S and X use Mercedes gear selectors and window switches.

This is the Janis Joplin Porsche 365 of the new millennium.

The “S” models all have a firmer ride than the regular ones.

A manual in the TLX SH-AWD would be cool enough.

Nope, I own a Mercedes and 2 BMWs!

It’s not that hard to switch to different driving modes depending on what you’re doing at the moment though. I do this all the time in my Mercedes.

No, but unlike the staff of Jalopnik I’ve actually driven one aggressively.

She is totally wrong. She says the car doesn’t perform as a sports sedan having never actually evaluated it’s handling or performance. It specifically says in the review that she never got to drive it on a good road. The methodology of the review was totally flawed.

It makes more sense to judge this car by modern standards than by vague, archaic ones. It is a good thing that this weighs 200-300 lbs less than the competition.

3600 lbs is light for an AWD sedan that size. Most others are close to 4000 lbs.

If fact, I would even go so far as to say that the “D” grade for enthusiast driving totally does this car a disservice.

The RWD Tesla Model S 75 is not, by any stretch, an enthusiast car. Its really heavy, doesn’t handle well, and is not even that fast. Maybe a Model S P85+ but not a 75.

The thing about the TLX SH-AWD is that it can be super fun but you totally have to reprogram the way you drive. So in most cars, when you get understeer you get off the throttle and decrease steering input. In a TLX SH-AWD, however, when you start to get understeer you have to introduce throttle. The torque-vectoring

What’s more likely is that no one was buying the cheapest RWD Model S so they just decided to end that production line and simplify the manufacturing process by only having AWD on that car.

So the Eclipse now is a crossover and the Evolution is now a crossover.

Automakers struggle with each new generation to meet these standards to keep everyone happy.

The new E-Class interior is 75% as good as the S-Class, if that. There are tons of differences in terms of switchgear and materials.

They’re not the same interior, but they are the same layout (which is what I said).
