The 328d is super slow though. I would much rather have a 330i.

The e class and GLC have exactly the same layout, that’s my point.
$45,000? Yikes.
It’s a nice place to be, but $87,000 nice.
The lack of a white Mustang kind of reminds me how they put a Lamborghini Gallardo in the music video for Mercy by Kanye.
Doesn’t matter how good the fitment is if they’re still covering half the dash and the whole center console with cheap plastic.
Yeah, my daily driver is a Mercedes with 450 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque and I can barely touch the gas pedal while commuting.
The interior of the new GLE will definitely be just like the one in the Mercedes GLC but bigger. It’s not going to be truck-like in the same way.
I didn’t call it outdated because of the size of the screen, I called it outdated because the dashboard and center console are 50% covered with cheap grey plastic. No modern luxury car has that much cheap plastic right in front of the driver (just look at the X5, Range Rover Sport, Cayenne).
I’ve driven one but it was too boring. The seating position also isn’t quite as good as some of the newer competition. The steering frankly sucks. I don’t expect it to be communicative, but it lacks the directness of most modern luxury SUVs. The X5 and Cayenne are way more fun, especially on twisty roads. The Merc…
Haha.
Oops, didn’t mean to do that. I’m actually on my phone so I didn’t see your reply.
What? That horrible plastic dashoard with the swaths of useless buttons hardly belongs in any car in 2017 let alone a luxury car.
Bear in mind though that this GLE is actually just the old ML with a new badge on it. The interior is horribly outdated compared to all of the sedans in Mercedes’ lineup or any of the MLs German competition. A new ML is probably coming in 2018 as a 2019 model year with better fuel efficiency and a way better interior;…
I really depends on the road. Theres a winding moutain road near me which is deserted in the mornings and at night. There’s no houses or driveways on it, but the speed limit on the whole thing is 35 mph. While most of it has tight corners, there are a bunch of straitaways where it’s easy to go 100+ even with a car…
Ya got me there.
That car was already spinning and had a ton of horizontal momentum when it went off the cliff. Even then I didn’t tumble much until it hit the ground, which was at an angle to the force of gravity. If it had been slowly, slowly pushed off a shear cliff it wouldn’t tumble like that.
If you got in a 2nd gen Toyota Prius...and drove it off a cliff...towards a supermassive black hole...you would die.
It’s not going to tumble in that short of a time, especially if it’s pushed very slowly off the edge so its effectively just dropped nose down.
