Based on another article I saw, it could be up to €15,000 cheaper than the base R8 Quattro.

It’s an Accord Coupe.

People are way ahead of you on that one.

Sure, but “ostentations bling culture” is something that’s been around for decades if not centuries. Its not like only recently people discovered how to show off.

We’ll have to see. I don’t think Honda is going to go from breaking down every single race this year to being competitive next year in a totally different car, but I’m also a major pessimist.

Well quite a few manufacturers are now offering “black appearance packs” or things along those lines to remove some or all of the chrome and if this trend of gaudiness continues I might have to start ticking that box on my car purchases from now on (or looking for a used one with that option).

Audi definitely started with the resergence of large grilles, but they’re not the ones who started chroming the whole thing.

I would totally disagree that the cars are all getting uglier.

lol

I understand that they’re basically owned by RBR, but it’s still strange that they would take such a huge gamble with Toro Rosso and have the get almost nothing out of this deal.

Really? I spend at least a month of every year in Europe (usually mostly in the UK) and I don’t think I’ve even seen a 5 Series GT there. Maybe I saw one 3 Series GT this year, but estates and SUVs serve the same purpose and are orders of magnitude more popular.

If a certain model is truly ugly people won’t buy it. Just look at the 5 Series GT.

So what is Toro Rosso getting out of this deal exactly? They now have a less reliable, less powerful engine and are losing their better driver. Why did they agree to this? Maybe Honda is way cheaper as an engine supplier or something.

I don’t think they look nearly as big and as ‘flaring’ in person as in photos, but fair enough.

I really don’t get this obsession with huge grilles. I haven’t met one normal (non-car-enthusiast) person who thinks that having a giant grille looks better than smaller ones. BMW needs to stick with keeping the grilles relatively small, like they are on the X5. While not classically beautiful (though few SUVs are), I

I imagine it was just like this but with K-Cars:

We have dealer plates in California that say “DLR” on the left side. They’re actual metal plates and for use by car dealers only.

Only 70k miles tho...

This makes me think that there’s probably good amounts money to be made in the next few months by bringing in clean titled cars from New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Arkansas and selling them in the Houston area.

It’s not real. That company does not have the sheetmetal skills, glass working skills, or chassis engineering skills to pull off a job like that.
