Yup. The convertibles are terrible and not that well made. I’ve actually seen a couple of their convertibles up close and the roofs have very poorly made joins and fold really awkwardly.

...so in practice it closes the gap on cars that are theoretically quicker from 0-60, but not actually quicker in everyday use.
It’s just a photoshop. I don’t think they’ve ever touched a Rolls and if they did it would be a disaster.
If you look at the horribly sketchy creations that come out of that company, I wouldn’t trust them to put in a sunroof let alone create a crazy 6x6 Bentayga. That shop lacks the engineering skills, design skills, and manufacturing skills to take on a project of that magnitude.
3.04 per gallon for regular average in California? I didn’t look at the price for regular, but I just paid 3.09 for premium this morning and I’m in one of the most expensive areas in the state for gas. It wasn’t even at costco or anything. That average can’t be right.
How will an autonomous vehicle respond if a cheeky pedestrian surrounds it with traffic cones when it’s stopped at a red light?
I’d say that’s more like a doghouse than a wood cabin.
Oh, so you’re one of those “any criticism must be media bias” people...
Looking at that interior really shows how aged the 2017 one was with a dashboard/buttons from 2005 and the shifter from a 2002 Audi A4 or whatever. This new one is awesome.
Also Jay Z has Lexus in Empire State of Mind, but he also rhymes it with Texas.
Because they’re not racing you because you’re in a electric hatchback. I don’t race people in electric hatchbacks between the lights in my sportscar either...
As for that video again, to put it another way, if the i3 goes 0-30 in around 3 seconds while the M3 goes 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, there’s no way the M3 can be anything but way faster to 10, 20, or 30 mph than an i3.
The numbers really disagree with that though.
Yup.
2.9 seconds is for the one without the range extender. Even still, that’s not quick. It’s really slow for a performance vehicle actually.
I’m sorry, but none of that really makes much sense.
It’s not true, not even close. The i3 takes 4.1 seconds to get to 40 mph according to instrumented tests. Some BMWs will be at 60 by 4.1 seconds. In fact, I’d say just about BMW car the last few years with at least 6 cylinders will smoke the i3 to 20 mph, let alone 40. I’d even put my money on a BMW X3 35i SUV being…
They should sell the naming rights for sponsorship if they can. No reason not to. A little extra cash flow always helps.
They did spend/lose a lot of money on the buybacks though which was part of the settlement with the EPA along with other damages. This fine is specifically for the criminal activity.
