Yup. Even dealers in the Bay Area are charging less than that for similar cars.

I think its just an orange pipe. You could get some high-temp spray paint and make it gray or black.

Are you sure its a leather interior? The lower dash and entire dooryards don’t look like leather to me. (Though to be fair gray leather always looks terrible so it can be hard to tell.) Also the optional upgrade wheels look better than the base ones from the lower cars. Original wheels would actually be preferred more

Now playing

The sample in this is actually from a 1967 song (if you can call it that) by The Monkees! Really unexpected.

Just a little overpriced for the mileage, especially considering the lack of factory optional equipment (better wheels, Bose, leather interior package all missing). Seems totally base. Front seats need a bit of work too.

In all of my cars locking the car also locks the gas flap. :(

They used to have that but had to remove it when several Tesla owners died fording rivers in their cars or got shot while sneaking up on strangers.

“leaking battery acid”

The old E63 Wagon had a base price a little over $100,ooo I think. The new one will probably start a little higher than that.

I mean they’re literally just Ford Fusions with a smaller engines (and I suppose some of them are hatchbacks and some are wagons). I find the Focus RS and Mustang far more interesting and I obviously see way more of those living in the US than when I’m in Europe.

Maybe it was an issue with the layers inside the windows then, which is really bad. Good thing you managed to get out of that car.

But then I noticed that all the glass in my car had this weird sheen of grease on it. So it never left he dealer and 3 days later had all new glass.

I mean, would you get excited every time you saw a Ford Mondeo or Vauxhall Astra while visiting? There are less interesting European cars too.

The Fiesta ST, Focus ST, and turbo Mustang (even after the factory ecu tune) are all cool and priced like everyday cars.

That Taurus and Merc both debuted in 1994, so that’s not late 90's at all. Interior design changed a lot in 1998-2003, especially for luxury cars, and quite a few design trends which started back then are still around.

The start switch, “drive selector”, instrument cluster, speaker grilles, and center screen on the Volvo are all equally chintzy and gimmicky as the Mercedes. In fact, since that screen is such a major part of the Volvo’s dash, I’d bet that the two-thousand-and-late gradient-based graphics on that are going to age far

You’d be hard pressed to find a better interior for less than $100k that isn’t an S class, 7 series, or a LS.

I have the same thing on my Mercedes and it works fine up to 100 mph. The spray is coming from the wiper blades, so its actually better than a conventional hood-mounted sprayer at speed. Never had any issues.

I think the S-Class has had that since the 2013 model year, so it’s had that for 4 years.
