Full-grain is actually becoming more and more common in cars. Nappa leather, which used to only be an option on very high-end models but has shown up on some less expensive ones, usually refers to a full grain product. Apparently some cheaper cars may have been trying passing off corrected grain leather as nappa, but…
Why would VW merge with FCA? They’d get almost nothing out of that and there’d be massive incompatibility between the two companies in terms of design, branding, manufacturing, and quality.
Maybe the most boring here.
Maybe this was true 10-15 years ago. Any new SUV in the same price range as the Model X will have near perfect alignment of the trunk with the lights on the side.
He must have customers in the US signing a disclaimer for this because it would probably be illegal to do this without owners explicitly allowing it.

I saw a Porsche 550 Spyder driving around once and judging by the area it’s possible that it wasn’t a replica.
Modern cars don’t have their performance greatly increase after break in because the engine/drivetrain parts are made with tight tolerances from the factory. In terms of quantifiable qualities, there may be a slight difference in highway mpg after break in (1-2 mpg at the very most) but not any noticeable difference…
